Mundine Opponent Named Next Week

Though we don't know much about Austin Trout's manager Bob Spagnola, it's hard to believe he's a bigger liar than the other mob, and one thing for certain here is that someone is telling huge porky pies.

All these Mundine nuthuggers going on about the "options" Trout was supposedly demanding.

They conveniently ignore the fact that Mundine claimed Trout wanted a 3-fight option plus a rematch clause, and stick to clamouring about the rematch clause Trout wanted instead, as if that's evidence of Trout's shadiness.

The only certainty here is that one of the managers, either Khoder Nasser or Bob Spagnola, is bullshitting anyone willing to listen.

My opinion is that Spagnola/Trout have requested a single rematch clause in the contract, and that Nasser/Mundine didn't want it.

Rather than just say that they won't agree to the terms with the rematch clause included, Nasser/Mundine have instead made up a story that Spagnola/Trout suddenly asked for more money.

Because Spagnola/Trout insisted the rematch clause remain, Khoder Nasser has then gone to the WBA and for no good reason, and almost magically, Mundine has climbed to number 1 contender for the WBA title.

Pretty much on the money I reckon CHB - I don't see what is so unreasonable about asking for a rematch clause when Trout is the champ and he was willing to come to Mundine's backyard to defend his title.

But obviously not the way Khoder sees things, and the easiest way for him to make it go away was to tell people Spagnola/Trout had suddenly asked for much more money, when in reality they probably did nothing of the sort.

 

In my opinion they are both throwing around bull****.
Show me a boxing manager who has'nt and pigs will fly.

Trout gets his shot at Alvarez in Feb 2011 and becomes Regular champ.
There is no great mystery how Mundine gets No.1 ranking, he was ranked 2 fifteen months ago when most Aussies thought Autin Trout was some kind of fish.

btw, I can't see Mundine getting past Alvarez. I believe if Jerez had any kind of power punch at all Mundine's campaign at 154 would have ended that night.

Regarding Mundine at Junior middle. He's had two fights at that weight in his life! Beating only Jerez and Waters. Do you really think that should amount to a number 1 ranking?

Those two bouts were within the last 15 months. So if they had Mundine number one 15 months ago it was before he'd even competed in the division :nut.

 

If we have a thing called 'Dannyweight', you may as well add these two as 'Bathroomscalesweight'...

This ****er hasn't sighted 154lbs in his life!

 

Pretty hard to argue with, and the proof is it's sat there for about 4 and a half hours without anyone contesting it.

 

Your probably right,Spagnola would'nt bull****. Boxing managers are the pillars of society, ask Kostya Tszyu he sued at least 3 of them.

Regarding Mundine at Junior Middle. Wether you or i think it's right the facts are he is rated at No.1. at the moment.

I never said Mundine was rated No1 15 months ago, if you read my original post it says No. 2 in MAY 2010.....and No.2 in OCTOBER 2010. Don't take my word for it, just go to the WBA site and look up ratings for super welter they go back for years.
When Mundine switched divisions he was rated No. 1 middleweight by the WBA. When boxers switch weight divisions if they are rated highly it's not unusual to be rated highly in the next divsion even if they have not fought at that weight. Some fighters actually fight for world titles in their first fight at that weght.
As i said in my original post, I don't think Mundine will get past Alvarez.

Mate i never mentioned " dannyweight '' I dont hate any fighters. I've followed this sport for 50 years and i'm glad that some aussie fighters are now makeing a decent living out of the game instead of the hundreds over the years who have walked away with the arse out of their pants and the brains scrambled.
