this better be a 1 off

i hope that us Brits dont pay it and then perhaps the boxers would realise that they would earn more from sky buying the fight

If Pac vs Marquez is on Primetime, im gonna cancel sky

Are Primetime getting the Alvarez fight as well?

Still, I'd feel ripped off paying a tenner for standard def'.

And yet Primetime, despite hearing that their service isn't any good from numerous fans, are charging 15 quid for a load of mismatches :patsch

I thought Primetime only picked up boxing Sky didn't want, like the group stages of the Super 6? Did Sky even want Mayweather v Ortiz?

Who gets the 2.50 registration? I'm sure I've never paid this? But I'm on Virgin?

Not that I condone it, but for £3 I can get access to a near-HD stream, with better commentary. Why the hell am I going to pay £15 for lower quality picture, worse commentary and a high chance of it cutting out?

Simply put, £15 is too high for this level of service. I begrudge £15 to Sky, but at least you get HD!

NOT PAYING 15 BRICK FOR a fight at 4am unless its a major "event". I 'll catch the fight on the net the following day...

Yeah, but not even a fiver? Come on, mate. I can understand some of the things people are saying, but some people don't even know what's on the card, and are saying it's a rip off, a farce.

If this isn't PPV worthy, then what in the world can possibly be called a PPV?

    I just don't understand it.

i would consider it for a fiver i guess. obviously i can afford 15 quid, but i just dont think its worth that much, especially at SD and at 4am. i love boxing, but i hate being ripped off

then again if PT were only going to charge a fiver they might not have been able to outbid Sky.

If you really think people aren't buying it because they are cheap, then you're well off.

Are you getting paid by Primetime or something Laz?

Nothing to do with being cheap

    Alright.

    What are the reasons then?

The common reason that's coming up seems to be it not being in HD. Venus said himself, that they plan to get HD next year. So what more can they do?

A few mismatches? Yeah, sure, Mayweather-Ortiz, Alvarez-Gomez. We pretty much know the winner of them two, for sure, but they still interest me.

    The others..

    Vargas-Lopez
    Matthysse-Morales
    McEwan-Ouma

Don't know about you, but I'm really looking forward to them three, and the other two, despite being mismatches, only makes it more exciting. It's five SOLID fights.

If I've missed any other reasons, please highlight them out for me, because I haven't picked up on them, because from the replies I've read, all I see is "what a ****ing rip off" "we could have got this for free on sky" "it's not in hd" "it's not worth 15 quid!"

Well, what does that say about our PPV's in the UK then? Surely they must be even more shite than this PPV, no?

I'm not sure if it was you, ishy, but didn't you mention how we need more Mag 7 type PPV's? Correct me if I'm wrong, but if that's PPV worthy, then is this not?

I can understand people don't like small things, such as commentary etc etc, but if people are happily paying for shitty Haye/Khan/Froch cards, but wouldn't be willing to pay for cards like this, then I don't understand it.

    Maybe I'm missing something? £15 won't kill a person.
