i cant tell you when the first test was done. but i can tell you that they started as early as the first press conference in ny. the testing agents took Mayweather to a diffrent room in the Hudson theater to draw blood.

This is a good thing, but just because it's Floyd and the agenda is self serving, people will criticize it. Many sports are implementing more stringent drug testing, there are too many dirty athletes out there. You will see on 24/7 I'm sure.

The testing is FSDT - Floyd Style Drug Testing.
If an Olympian was subjected to being tested only 8 weeks before a race it would be ridiculed to no end.

If you are going to do random drug testing and try to clean up boxing all fighters would need to be tested RANDOMLY at any time 365 days a year. In addition blood work would need to be done to gauge normal testosterone levels to be compared to test results.
