Outside of the ring he is well spoken and I like him, but inside the ring he's a dirty cheat and I hate his "style"

True, too bad he ruins all that when he starts bashing guys with his head in the ring.

That headbutt against Kessler was ridiculous. Proper flying Shaolin Monk headbutt.

I have not seen a lot of him outside of the ring.

He seems like a nice, genuine guy.

sadly ward will always fall into the 'hopkins' category for me. whilst i'll always appreciate the skills and ring generalship he displays, in years to come i can't think of one fight he's been in that i'd pull out to show the grandkids. too skilled = boring, to put it bluntly. just look at wlad.

I feel bad that you can't appreciate the likes of Pernell Whitaker, Muhammad Ali, Floyd Mayweather and other too-skilled fighters.

Does your inability to appreciate skill carry over to to other sports? The likes of Michael Jordan, Roger Federer, Wayne Gretsky, and Barry Sanders must have also left you cold.

What we need in boxing, I suppose, are more people with less skill, perhaps boxing could recruit from the special olympics to maximize the pool of skill-less fighters?

ward is a very crafty and very skilled guy. class act top to bottom. he is definitely one of my favorites. i picked this guy to win the tournament in the very beginning. he's going to mop the floor with froch. froch is "b" level to wards "a" level.

    Top post.

Calzaghe comes forward and he has 2 inadvertent head clashes against Sheika (in which Sheika gets the worst of it) and there's no mention .....

Ward comes forward and he has 2 inadvertent head clashes against Kessler (in which Kessler gets the worst of it) and there is such crying, tears, accusation, and recrimination ....

    :|;)

Obviously there are few (no) athletes posting. Two guys moving in split seconds for the same space resulting in inadvertent head clashes is just too hard to believe or imagine :nut (for keyboard jocks).

Everyone knows most athletes spend at least 20% of their workout perfecting their head butting technique. Ward must have figured why keep dominating Mikkel with my superior technique, ring IQ, talent, and athleticism when I can just head butt him now that I'm way up on the cards :)lol:).

I really like this kid and the more he talks the more I respect him. I hope he comes to fight night with all the confidence in the world cause if he does we're in for a great fight.
