I think a fiver is a fair price too. You can imagine my views on the cost of the PPVs over here. 55 bucks is insane

 

I heard that it's more in Canada or Denmark. Which is getting into 'ridiculous' territory.

always thought £15 was to steep considering most PPV's are mismatches.

I DO struggle on the 6am finishes but the 5ams I'm fine. I think I'd be ****ed at 6am no matter what time I got up though!!

 

I would have to get up closer to fight time myself

If I end up leaving the USA, I'll be planning for 10am fights for the HBO/Showtime fights and 3 am-ish for domestic scraps.

 

That's planning your whole day around a fight.

For Hatton vs Mayweather I planned my entire weekend around it and ended up skiving on the Monday.

Mainly because I drank right through from 10pm on the Saturday through until 7pm on the Sunday before I was completely zonked.

 

I just don’t see how Primetime think £15 is a good price for this. It’s a series of uncompetitive fights with a headline fighter who has never been in an exciting fight.

I said it before – there are cheaper options with the exact same or better quality picture. What reason do I have to go to Primetime? I’ve no moral obligation to fund the sport.

 

£15 is the business model price.

Reduction in price very rarely correlates in the necessary increase in buys.

 

I'd be more than happy to shell out 9.95 for the fight and the undercard.

14.95 has ever so slightly tipped the balance. Had it been on at 10pm UK time then i wouldn't have had an issue paying the full 14.95.

 

What are you basing that on? The times Primetime have charged £15 for a PPV have been much higher profile bouts. The ones they’ve charged less for have been minority interest. I’d argue they’ve got their model the wrong way round. I’ve never believed that particular business model is real, I think it’s just a convenient way of mitigating risk.
