Floyd has and always will be leagues above Cotto in talent, accomplishments, and box office earning power.

Was Floyd supposed to chase Cotto then?

You look at boxing too much as a ****in fanboy. :patsch

All this "who should chase who" **** is stupid. And saying that doesn't mean he has to CHASE him. Did Ortiz chase Floyd? Did JMM? Or wait, I'm sure Sharmba Mitchell CHASED floyd!

When a fight makes sense, that's all that matter. But hey, focus on the stupid, little things as much as your heart desires. :thumbsup

Floyd tried to make a fight while they were both at 140 and Arum wanted no part of it straight out saying "Cotto isnt ready".

why because floyd said it? i believe that actions speak louder than words. at the time there were a lot of interesting fights to be made, floyd chose to sit it out.

Cotto wasn't ready at 140, Arum even said it himself. (Floyd was still promoted by Arum)

Calling out Floyd doesn't mean you'll get to fight him.
Margarito called out Floyd as well and then.........

Welterweight Division was so Hot at that time. Prime Mosley Cotto Clottey Margo, Floyd retired. Nothing more clear than that.

Maybe they could have reached a deal, see who offered the most money have a 1 time fight deal there and then both can go back to their tv stations with their fights. It shouldnt be impossible.
Thats a fight I would have liked to see several years ago:p

The only time showtime and hbo linked up was for two major PPV fights.

Mayweather had yet to fight on PPV...
