Adamek did look bigger in that last set of photos. I hope he can retain his speed advantage.

 

I also noticed Adamek looks to have beefed up with more muscle.

His power needs to be more than Vitali is expecting. Adamek needs to land a few times and force Vitali to respect him, or else Adamek will get mowed down, pretty fast.

 

A fast combination to the nose should get anybody's respect.

 

Vitali said he's been watching Adamek tapes everyday and that "he hates his style." Let's see how well the big man can turn and defend at the same time. : D

Dense much? Vitali fights an exciting style, and Adamek is always exciting. This is definitely going to be a good one.

 

This is why heavyweight boxing should not be integrated with the lightweights on this forum.

Even Vitali promised it would not be boring, after teh WLad Haye fight was such an uneventful fight.

 

I'm almost rooting for a good fight more than the winner. But like I said before it's hard not to cheer the underdog if you're neutral. Let the best man win!

 

Adamek's power was enough for Arreola and Grant to respect him. Adamek doens't seem to have KO power at this weight, but it ain't as featherfisted as some say.

 

Another thing, if you look how fast Tomasz gets his combinations off, there's no time to really bang. He's in and out.

I think he said he respects his skill and speed, saying they were brilliant. Don´t know if he likes to fight with this style though. One thing is for sure, Vitali ain´t seen a lot of it lately so he can say whatever he wants, at the end of the day it will be all about which fighter adapts better to the other´s style.

 

Team Adamek will be flying to Poland on August 31. My son is leaving for Europe on the 30th, so he won't be on the same Luftansa flight as Adamek this time, flying out of Newark International Airport.

I still can't believe that he & Adamek were on the same flight to Europe a few months back.

He was too shy to say hello. Naturally Tomasz was flying 1st Class.
