Best boxers that never won a title? past and present

    Name some of the best boxers in history that never won a title and also who do you consider to be the best active boxer that never won a belt? (interim,diamond,silver,superduper doesnt count)

    Langford did win the Colored Title, but as far as legit titles go, then yeah, he's the ultimate choice. Arguably the greatest fighter ever, period.

    Packey McFarland is one not likely to get a nod, even though he was likely one of the very best to ever lace up the gloves. Jim Driscoll is another in that class.

    Most of the Black Murderer's Row belong: Burley, Marshall, Williams, Booker, Lytell, Kid, Chase, Wade, etc.

    Jimmy Bivins is another.

    These guys are all among the best to ever do it, not just the best to have never won titles.

    I call myself a Boxing fan but then I enter threads like this and I don't even recognize any names. Shame on me. Just started watching late 2008 though. Have to catch up.

    Many thought he could have beaten Sugar Ray back in his time.
    won multiple Aussie titles n the commonwealth title but never got is chance at a world championship before being killed in a car crash

    But that was back when there was one 1 champ per division. if there was an alphbet soup of titles like today i'd bank on it he woulda had a few of them!
