If they make Silva vs Hendo, would be interesting to see how they improved over the years. I honestly wouldn't mind see Hendo the UFC middleweight champ. Even if it's only for one or two times before he throws in the towel.

Oh ffs why can't this fight happen at 205 and why can't Silva stay at 205?

Everyone apart from Zuffa wants to see him a 205 fighting bigger and better comp on the road to a title shot.

Everyone want's to see GSP fighting bigger guy's at 185 too.

Theres no interesting fights for these guys anymore in the divisions they've dominated for so long.

In terms of damage yes. He looks to maintain strong and safe positions. Chael and Dan are the sort who want to beat on you and thus leave them self open. GSP will spend 20 seconds securing a position. Dan and Chael don't really have the mindset to do that for 5 rounds.

In one or two defences, Silva will be seen to be ducking Jones in the same way GSP is ducking Silva. At least Silva has admitted it from the off :yep

I can see why Chael shouldn't be in a title fight soon due to his PED scandal. But there's really nobody else who has taken Silva to the limit like Chael has. I want a rematch only because I have the urge to see Silva prove his detractors wrong. Many are calling his win over Chael as a fluke. Nobody believes his injured ribs was a factor in the fight. A convincing win over Chael should silence a lot of obnoxious, chatty *******s.

I don't want to see a rematch with Hendo only because Silva has already destroyed him. If Silva beats Okami and Sonnen (again), he really needs to move up to 205 otherwise he'll put his fans to sleep out of boredom if he keeps fighting inferior middleweights.

I hope Anderson Silva retires after beating Yushin Okami. It would be the perfect capper to the perfect UFC career.

14-0, 12 finishes, most of them at the top of every single MMA highlight you can make.

Of course people would still be mad that he didn't move up and fight Jon Jones, who hasn't even defended his belt once, but who cares? When it's all said and done, Anderson Silva will be the GOAT.

Shogun would beat Silva but we all know Silva aint moving up to his correct division anytime soon.

Dont see him losing at 185... unless we can bring back a peak Sakuraba via time machine which we cant so thats that.

Even tho he has a good record he doesnt have that many great fighters on his record like Fedor has Nog and CC who are ATGs.
Silvas best wins are Hendo and Rich. It can be said that Hendo was weight drained and so on.
Silva has some good wins and some extraordinary performances but unfortunately he is not in the strongest division thus lacking the greats that he needs on his record to become the GOAT

Well the only 2 ATG's on Fedor's record and Im pretty sure Anderson has more strength in depth in his resume. Silver fought the best MW in the UFC at the time and the best 185 & 205er in PRIDE and went 3-0 with 3 stoppages. Fedor went 3-0, 3 decisions

He's also beaten a guy who has kodded HW's in Vitor, and the former LHW Champ in Griffin.

How was Hendo weight drained? He was a career 185 er who held the PRIDE belt and fought his last 185 match just over a year before. He'd had fights against Vitor, Wandy & Rampage and was 2-1.

I agree the division is weak relatively, but of course that doesnt mean it full of cans. But it compares well with HW in terms of talent and diversities of styles, going back to the big 3 you mentioned earlier of the PRIDE HW's

Im not to sure if he's the GOAT, and tbh it doesnt really matter to me. That's for fan boys to argue over. But there has been no better middleweight during my 6+ years of watching MMA

This argument used to stick but Henderson, Belfort and Franklin are top names with legacies that stand up to scrutiny. Throw in the mix of different type of contenders and Silvas record is legit (Leben, Sonnen, Maia etc).
