Since 2008, Brisbane has played 79 NRL matches with a return of 42 victories and one draw, a little over 50 per cent. Twenty four of those games were in 2010, a year in which Hodges watched and waited as his foot healed.

Across that same period, Hodges' inclusion on the team sheet makes a dramatic difference to Brisbane's chances of carrying the day.

In the 32 games he played, the Broncos won 24 – a 75 per cent strike rate. When he was out of action, the Broncos registered just 18 wins from 47 games, a dismal 38 per cent return.

Of course, not all of the success or failure can be contributed to Hodges alone. But the sheer gulf in results when Hodges either suits up or sits out makes it clear what a key man he is to the Broncos' weekly chances.

He's a very dangerous player. He can sometimes hog the ball but I agree with you Darkhorse that he is a superstar.

..how is it that 2 blokes get 10 in the bin for rushin' in and escalating a blue...but when it erupts again as two blokes leave the field and 4 Manly blokes rush in from 20 or 30 meters away and in a 5 on 1 situation start throwin' punches at the 1 bloke...noone gets marched and Manly get the penalty...:huh

Storm will be the least intimidating team come finals time.

There 4 big players this year have kept their nuffies playing to the best of their ability all year but I dont think they can lift their standard any higher come crunch time.

In saying that I dont think Manly are all that intimidating either.

It sure is good to see the ***gy purple wearing kunts lose :yep:happy

 

The Eels lose another close one. Has a team ever lost so many close games as they do. They really are better than what there position suggests and next year should be higher up the ladder.

 

I dont think next year is going to be that much better for them to be honest. Their playing depth is pretty slim, alot better than it is this year though

 

i'd say 8 out of the last 12 eels games have been lost in the last 5-10 mins
