Just been announced Groves is fighting Piotr Wilcezewski for the European Super-Middleweight Title at The O2 in October!

 

the fact that ****** has the contacts within boxing has got him the deal, matchroom can't pull the strings like frank is able to do. remember when brook left frank and went to match room he was stripped of one of his meaningless WBO belts, frank is capable of doing that. this way groves is able to get to the top quicker, matchroom could have definatly slowed down his career because the sanctioning bodies would always give preference to go frank (and degale) rather than matchroom (and groves) because they have a history of working together. it will take matchroom about 3-5 years to get the connections in the boxing world which frank already has.

it's a good boxing decision.

 

Unfortunately, one of the few ways for most big fights to happen now is if there are only a few promoters ruling the roost. This should allow us to see Groves vs DeGale II.
