Don't really understand your fetish with this?

The difference here would be that Golota ouclassed Bowe and then went mental, whilst Bruno out-jabbed Lewis and then got absolutely destroyed.

Bruno is a good perfromance for Lewis, pre-prime.

    That makes sense. :good

Lewis will have refused to sign Don King's contract options again, but King had no choice but to let Lewis-Holy finally happen, thus King paid the judges off, so a rematch would be made, & King's pockets could be lined with gold again.

Golota literally gave Riddick Bowe permanent brain damage so bad was the beating.

Bruno took a few rounds off of Lewis with the jab (because Lewis was looking to end it with one shot) before nearly getting his head taken off.

    They're not close at all.

I bet Bowe already had brain damage, just Golota pushed his fat ass over the edge.

No way 32 rounds of brutal war with Holyfield is good for your brain. :deal

Well, one of them ducked the other in the most chicken**** manner in the history of the sport.

Yeah maybe he should have adopted a style that involved blocking punches by other ways than your face.

Sadly Riddick Bowe never developed to the extent that he probably should have. In fact, after the age of about 25 or 26, he began to decline, largely due to bad training habits. The biggest mistake of his career ( probably his management's fault ) was not taking the Lewis fight, originally scheduled for early 1993. It not only would have been the largest single paying fight, but I have a feeling that had he cought Lewis pre-Steward, he'd have a good chance of winning and enhancing his legacy.

Honestly the way I view lh31 in debates involving bowe and lewis is the way I see bailey, head and silencer in debates involving hopkins and joe as well as mag in debates involving duran.

    There's literally no point.

The truth is a peak bowe never fought a man similar to lewis who's comparable. Lewis has: Golota, bruno, vitali they can all offer valid comparisons not to mention the fight they had in the olympic finals. The evidence would indicate a lewis victory peak for peak whilst it would indicate a bowe victory circa 93.

As Bowe said in a HBO studio interview 2 days before the Golota fight: "Larry why do I need to train so hard to fight a bum?!" Also, Merchant noted that Bowe was only interested in talking about Tyson-Lewis, rather than his upcoming fight against the "bum" Golota.

Also, George Foreman on the HBO commentary team said during the fight: "Riddick Bowe is just not in-shape, that's all there is to it, from the opening bell this guy has not been in-shape, he underestimated this fighter & he's getting whipped."

PP makes stupid posts, so Im answering him with stupid posts. As far as Golota going mental, you dont think it was because of what Bowe was doing back to him that caused him to do it? He didnt just decide to hit Bowe in the nuts, he was frustrated because Bowe was still standing fighting back and hitting him in the face.

He struggled with both Bruno and Vitali, what does that tell you? Now throw in a big strong mean fighter who was undisputed champion that beat the **** out of a prime Evander Holyfield and Lewis has a very tough fight on his hands. Tell me what Bruno or Vitali have done thats even close to beating a prime Evander Holyfield? Lewis was also flattened twice by big righthand punchers. What does that tell you? See it goes both ways.

I dont hate Lewis, I hate his delusional fans who cry when someone questions his credibility. Its the same sorry ass arguement. He was beaten by Lewis in the olympics and avoided him as a pro, of course he would lose to him had they fought. :dead

Yeah, he showed good mental strength and persistence, and i've always said so.

But comparing the two situations is, as you've said yourself, stupid.

That he'll eventually get even the best fighter to follow him out of there, past prime, eventually, and that at nearly three inches taller and nearly 15 pounds heavier, Vitali's defeat is really bad news for Bowe's chances?

No it isnt because Vitali is pretty much a mannequin on the inside, where Bowe is throwing uppercuts and hooks. Thats where Lewis did the majority of the damage to Vitali, not on the outside.
