maywetaher vs ortiz is gonna look something similar to may-baldo, ortiz has the same type of defense less chin, less heart but more powerful and a southpaw.

    I buy good PPV's. Khan-McClown was never a good PPV. Just because I made a build-up thread, doesn't mean I'll buy it.

Actually, the more I think about it, the card is actually a lot better than the past PPVs I have bought on Sky. I like the Morales fight. Ortiz is someone I would root for, due to his background - which is as horrific as anything I have read in a while, and I am a big fan of Mayweather. Although I know Mayweather will outclass Ortiz, Ortiz will give it a good go and has youth on his side too.

That is the flipside argument of this.

Did someone hit you on the head? Because you're actually talking some sense.

Did you forget Lopez-Vargas and McEwan-Ouma?

Thing with the Magnificent 7 was it was on at a decent time (started at around 7pm I think) and you got a whole nights quality boxing action from it.

With this it's going to be on from 2am with no UK leg (Fury on Channel 5 does not count, anyone can watch that). If I'm buying a US PPV I want a semi-decent UK leg as well for my £15. Especially for a main event that's pretty much going one way.

Also, look at the evenness of matchups...Sexton/Chisora II - many people thought Sexton would get revenge.
Brook/Jennings - Brook was seen as protected, Jennings was proven Euro level.
Cleverly/Murat - two undefeated guys, we weren't sure how good either guy was beforehand.

Yeah the Macklin fight was a bit of a letdown but remember he was meant to fight Barker. Even Enzo/Frenkel was intriguing...was Enzo shot? How good was Frenkel? And Enzo did alright early on before that KO :scaredas:

And the Mag7 was made for the British fans, ****** knew the only way to finance such a quality, stacked card was to put it on PPV.

Mayweather/Ortiz is made for the US audience, that's where all the money is and GBP think they can make a bit extra by sticking it on PPV here as well. Nowhere else in Europe will this card be on PPV but we're meant to fork out 15 quid for a product that was usually available as part of your regular Sky Sports subscription?

Vargas isn't a particularly great prospect. Most people didn't see it, but Cristian Favela was essentially robbed against him, and Favela really isn't much use, other than being extremely tough. And two KO wins over shot fighters in Harris and Estrada doesn't change that.

Which is what makes the Lopez fight all the more intriguing.

Anyone who appreciates football realise that Sky was the best thing to happen to english football.

Some would argue that you can find streams better quality than the primetime feed which tells you all you need to know about the quality you are paying £15 for.

I'll probably get a kebab from my mate Mark.

If not I'll get a high quality bagel the next morning.
