    **** it. Why not?

Somebody aside from the "Super Champion" has to have it, why not give Holy a shot at it?

He's out there fighting and he wants it. More than you can say for most anyone else.

I don't think he got robbed, this was just a fight to get Holyfield some badly needed money. Anybody could see Valuev was taking it easy on him..........

    Oh god.

I have changed my mind on this- throw Holy in with a Klit and let him get retired for good.

In the long run it would be best. If he does not get really badly beat, he is going to stay around foreaver taking punches to the head. I am not trying to be sarcastic or funny- this is very sad- but I think it would be best if he took one really massive beating than hang around for another 5 years.

I've always liked Holyfield, but hope this isn't true. I'm not necessarily concerned with him fighting either Pov/Chag, but i definitely don't need to seem get killed by Klitschko.

And if he really is that close to getting a deal, even if it doesn't get done this time, say the winner fights Wlad and loses, then he might be next in line for the next regular title fight like Pov/Chag are now and then become mandatory anyway.

I thought i had read somewhere a while back that the K Bro's said they had no desire to fight Holy cause they had to much respect for him and didn't want to hurt a guy that passed his prime.

well there wasnt 25 years in between winning his first title and getting a shot at Ali....
    Holyfield vs Qawi 1986
Holyfield vs Chag or Pov 2012

    :rofl

If Holyfeld wouldnt have lost every round to barney rubble sultan ibragimov...i would say he has a chance..and he almost was knocked out by sherman tank williams...and was knocked out by former middleweight toney...hes almost had as many **** years as he had undefeated / or great championship years

I tend to agree with others here. instead of fighting on forever wlad should give him a fight and pay him well. That way holy takes a big payday and a big beating so that he can retire properly.

Wlad would be doing him a forever by KO'ing him.

given his near victory over Valuev, Holyfield is as legit an opponent as anyone, sorry to say. Not my first choice by a long shot, but at this point the WBA title is so profoundly damaged anyway, that no one cares. The WBO now has more credibility. And the funny thing is, Holyfield would have a decent shot against these guys.

While people mostly understand this isn't for a real title at the moment, it's scary that people may regard it as such someday. We don't call a fight for the USBA or IBF Intercontinental belts a title shot, and we really shouldn't call a fight for the WBA belt a title shot either when the "super" belt is already held by someone else in the division. It gives an illusion of legitimacy to even acknowledge the "regular" belt, and some people will actually value it.

The WBA is a title for the worst of the worst to win.

David being one of them(he won by gift BTW)
