i just remembered this fight and watched it again on youtube. i remember HBO doing this whole promo piece on peterson and how he's gonna go onto do big things etc etc while Rios was just an opponent standing in his way. in come Rios with Vargas and Margarito accompanying him to the ring right there and then i knew this boy wasnt coming to lay down and he proceded to beat the living **** out of peterson, possibly his best performance ever. it made me a fan of rios and the whole thing was just bad ass the way he just walked in and walked through peterson.
Great performance but I think his performance against Acosta was more impressive who I rate higher than Peterson who was really nothing more than a hyped up prospect to begin with.
yeah i know acosta fight was good but by then most of us knew Rios was a bad ass, the peterson fight was great the way this kid who know one heard of comes in and whoops some ass.
