Hearn calls on irish fans to ensure Oddssey roof lift off http://www.irish-boxing.com/2011/08/hearn-wants-oddssey-roof-take-off/ Broadhurst and Morrisey settle for Bronze http://www.irish-boxing.com/2011/08/broadhurst-and-morrissey-have-to-settle-for-bronze/
Good article Jonny but instead of hoping for 7 or 8 thousand attending, if they had of kept the price of tickets down they would have got a full house of 10,000. They've been advertising tickets starting from £30, but in reality very few £30 tickets actually existed so basically they started at £40. That £10 makes a big difference to the causal fan. For example quite a few of my work buddies were turned of by such inflated ticket prices and they are the type of causal fan you need to drag in to make promotions like this a complete success. I think Hearn and McCloskey thought they were on to a guaranteed full house after several thousand "fans" travelled the Irish sea to watch Khan/McCloskey, but they've over estimated McCloskeys box office appeal. I hope there has been a lesson learnt here. Do you know what the ticket prices of the Fury promotion are starting at?

Phil Townley has withdrawn from the Fury bill. Ciaran Healys opponent Joe Hillerby will now face Tommy Tolan. #irishboxing #boxing etc etc
DO you mean who he's fighting on the 10th ?, because he's been scheduled to be on that bill for a while now.
Ya the opponent hasn't been named yet, will be interesting to see who they get but on 3 weeks notice I can't imagine anything too impressive.
so theres a rusky in every final so far - whats the chances of a white wash bar o'reilly of course!! correction = none in 60
