Gerry Cooney vs Tommy Morrison. Both guys built up impressive KO records and fought some of the best fighters of their day. Both men have 3 losses coming by TKO and have similar KO%. Who takes this battle of the whiteys? :bbb
i LOVE this title this thread was done fairly recently http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=332543 interesting read
More negative comment from the sneering sage of sock. No need to ask if the glass is half empty ,or half full, as far as you're concerned.atsch I just had this vision ,a poster finds and ,puts up here, clear footage of Greb v Tunney ,and Walker. Everyone goes nuts ,then you weigh in ," hmm pretty boring really." :bart What do your friends/friend call you , battery?
You a good guy S, just sometimes a bit negative, there are worse faults ,I should know ,I have most of them.
If I could interrupt your couples therapy for a moment, I'll comment on the fight. We just did this one about two weeks ago, but this gives me a chance to get it right. I've decided to switch to Cooney...I think he barrages Tommy early and gets him out of there. That's my instinct on the matter...I overthought it last time.
i enjoy the lovefest that is the classic. this is when combat deboxeo or whoever would come in, call everyone ***s and say foreman beats them both on same night
Whatever happened to Combatdeboxeo? What a pestilence he was...he would pick Foreman over a rabid grizzly bear and argue to the death over it.
All I know is anyone who would bet on this fight really does not need their money. Cooney could easily do a "Bentt-job" on Morrison, but a focused Tommy had a more complete arsenal, was faster and actually had some head movement.
Morrison may have been more talented and he certainly amassed the deeper resume in my opinion but I see this going a focused Cooney's way any day of the week. I think he hit harder than Morrison and his chin was far, far better at his peak.
