The most stupid thing in your post is that Kessler was not even available after the Zuniga fight. He was trying to break his contract with Palle. I think it was an intelligent thing to say there were other champions, don't you think? If you're smart, you don't targer a guy who can't fight. Bute meant that he would fight Jermaine Taylor if this one had won the WBC belt. Both fighters' teams had a verbal agreement. Taylor lost against Froch so the deal was off.
His promoter is more cautious now that his plan to make Kessler has been derailed by Ward. Sauerland is coming back to his good old method. Bouadla was a very poor choice, even for a come back fight. Then, Stieglitz instead of Bute, for less money. I'm not sure at all Sauerland wants Kessler to fight Ward next. I think he'll let Bute do it first. Maybe he'll let Dirrell face Ward. Maybe Kessler will never fight a top fighter again.
