Doc, de los deseo del alma habla la boca, Canelo is a prospect, that is what he is, if not he would had fought stiffer competition, like his paisano Angulo, and now they want to pit el perro against vanes, two boxers that were higher in their ranking than canelo, and with a better resume, he is a fraud until he beats a real champ not an underweigth british fighter that is fighting at 140 or eurotrash from the eastern block, GBP is trying to eliminated canelo's competition by pinning the best against each other, so he can continue milking el red, but it will end, and that why I said the mexican fans should b screaming for a real test, but you prove me right, you and the rest don't want anything like el perro, vanes or lara in the same zip code than canelo's.

They were always a headache for their manager. Hyde complained bitterly (about some of them) before he released them from their contract (read: threw them out). They need to get serious, basically.
But isn't that always the case...

I'm having trouble understanding why top rank doesn't get Rigondeaux any fights. He has perhaps the biggest promoter backing him and still he is inactive. Does his contract prevent stay busy fights (by being too expensive)?

I do believe that Rigondeaux is one of the most feared boxers in boxing. His incredible amateur reputation has most opponents running away from him, not because they are afraid of him but are afraid of losing. Only the journeymen are willing to fight him ( cause they know they aren't going anywhere ) but undefeated contenders and Champions are avoiding him like the plague. They know that Rigo will take their Title away. Believe it or not, many saw Rigo's performance against Cordoba with just 6 pro fights and saw what he has. In my opinion, Rigo gave Cordoba a complete schooling even though many of you found it boring.

I like when a boxer boxes and Rigo is the absolute best at that. I have a feeling that his career is going to be like that, fighting from time to time. He will be World Champion and there's no doubt about that but it will take some time. I thought that he was going to fight Ramos for the Championship but I guess Ramos is running like Juantorena from him!

El Maja to draw big crowd
In an unprecedented way top prospect from Miami Hairon “El Maja” Socarras moves fans by tidal waves. Hundreds of fans have hired shuttle buses from Miami to make the three hour journey to support their love child from South Florida when he takes on Eduardo Melendez from Puerto Rico this Friday at the Boxeo Telemundo event featuring the rematch between Jose “Miau” Nieves of Carolina Puerto Rico versus Cuauthemoc Vargas of Mexico City, Mexico from Kissimmee, Fla.
18-year-old Jr. Featherweight top prospect Hairon “El Maja” Socarras (3-0-3 KOs) of Miami, FL debuted on February 24th of 2011 in Palm Bay, Florida. Ever since his debut, his popularity has risen in an unexplainable way. Adversity and Socarras are not strangers, at the age of 10 his mother Odalys Socarras passes away in his arms after a terrible tragedy, from that moment on this young man had to care for his younger brother who was 4 at the time while the father worked two jobs to maintain the household. “El Maja is a special kid, not only because of what he went through growing up, but his humbleness, it’s unbelievable the talent he has. I really think that he doesn’t conceive how much talent he has, his future looks to be very bright” said Tuto Zabala Jr of All Star Boxing, Inc.

Wow, 18 years old! I am not used to seeing a Cuban boxer so young as almost all of them defect in their mid to late 20's. If this kid Socarras stays focused and away from temptations he will make it big in boxing. He has very heavy hands, speed, aggression and technique. I wish him the best!

He is fighting another Puerto Rican?! I think all of his first 3 opponents were Puerto Ricans, well another KO is expected as Socarras is a beast. ;)
