Ortiz has success early, but Pac gets him out of there in 10.

Would be an entertaining fight. I think Vic would win since Manny wouldn't be able to use footwork or a jab to keep Vic at bay.

Pac wins, may get a KD or two, but I don't think he knocks Ortiz out.

#1 While I respect Manny's power and speed, I think it's overstated of late, but that's a matter of opinion.
#2 Manny hasn't finished hurt fighters at this weight, so in the event he hurt Ortiz, I'm not positive he could/would finish him. Cotto/Margaritto come to mind...
#3 While Ortiz has shown that he can be KD, he's also shown that he can get up, and I haven't seen him Knocked Out...so I don't buy into the "glass chin"/"glass heart" non sense. I watched Roberto Duran throw up his hands mid round and quit in a far bigger fight than the one Ortiz quit, so while some love to throw that around, I believe it to be more the exception than the rule...I guess time will tell on that.
#4 I think Ortiz's offense will cause Pac to have to be a bit more hesitant and have a lower work rate than he normally might. I believe Ortiz is the possibly the best offensive fighter Pac would have seen since probably JMM...from strictly an offensive standpoint I think he's faster than Tony and applies a quicker type of pressure than Tony, I think he's got more power than the Cotto Pac fought and tends to be busier than Cotto (more aggressive than Cotto). Obviously Hatton is fairly limited offensive style (especially at that point in his career, not because he was shot but because he was already carrying **** ton of weight and partying too much) and it showed.
#5 I believe Manny to be tipping the hill and on the decline, while Ortiz is on his way up, in terms of Athletic ability and physical prime. That being said, Ortiz COULD have levels that we have not seen yet, and his youth and the ignorance of youth (not comprehending the magnitude of the fight and what it really means) could actually be of help. The sheer size of Ortiz would factor into this equation as well.

Obviously we are all guessing, but I believe Ortiz to be a better fighter than some/many, I believed that before the Berto fight (felt Berto would win, but it was more because of the athletic gifts of Berto, and I wasn't sure how Ortiz would carry the weight), and he proved that to be true. Maidana/Berto couldn't KO Ortiz, that combined with all the things listed above, make me question why someone would pick Ortiz to be KO'd.

Disclaimer: I didn't necessarily consider a "TKO" type cut stoppage, a far better possibility than straight KO, not to discredit "cut stoppage wins" but when speaking of KO/TKO I was working from the frame of referee stoppage due to Ortiz being smashed unmercifully, or a legit KO. Ortiz has shown that he doesn't handle cuts that well and I think he could get cut up by Pac's speed. All that said, I think he makes it the full 12.

It would be hilarious if Pacquiao himself sucked against competent southpaws.

Pac will beat the absolute crap out of this guy. Ortiz will either get knocked out or quit once his face gets rearranged a la Cotto/Margarito.

Ortiz being southpaw himself will eat a shitload of right hooks since Manny goes ape**** with right hooks against southpaws.

Pac via KO/TKO. Ortiz is an aggressive fighter that likes to go toe to toe w/c makes him tailor made for MP.
