And Franus, simply because Tony and I know the difference between a comma and apostrophe doesn't mean we are the one in the same.

Good on Tony for having his articles published. Do you actually do anything constructive with your time; your self esteem must be pretty low if all you do is whine and whinge.

IBO is far far worse than any of the major 4 sanctioning bodies.
Basically if a certain promoter wants he can keep an IBO belt with his promotional company forever & ever, as the only stipulations are title defenses against anyone inside their IBO top 35 & even this is relaxed when it comes to "carry over" points e.g. Green vs Bum Dominguez.
    No mandatories enforced EVER...WOW!!!

Furthermore, to consider a potential Will Tomlinson vs Vicente Martin Rodriguez for a vacant IBO Super Feather strap is ludicrous to say the least when neither would be inside the top 25 at 130 pounds.
Rodriguez some people may remember from a William Kickett dominant shutout victory on FOX Sports FNF back in late 2008 for a regional strap...Rodriguez's only fight outside Argentina.
Note: Carry over points may apply to this being sanctioned.:yep

Kegsy, in your opinion what's worse - an org that doesn't enforce mandatories which means one of its champions can hang on to the title forever OR an org that strips a champion of his hard earned title so it can give one of its poster childs a title?

    Both are absolutely terrible.
Hence why boxings ABC orgs are considered a joke by most passionate boxing followers.
Go look around at some of the world title bouts being sanctioned these days, fukn disgrace many of them.
Last thing we need to see is more new orgs popping up making a top 35 ranking all you need to get a title shot & even then there are "carry over points" loopholes to guarantee you a shot.

I still don't get why Green kept on with trying to be a cruiser weight and still is pursuing it, he could of done some big fights staying at LHW where his power can do damage and put an opponent in 2 minds about coming forward and physical strength that can match anyones in that division, at cruiser it really showed against tarver having to fight going backwards against someone that is physically stronger and has longer reach you are on a diet of getting hammered.

Paul Briggs was a light heavyweight and hadn't fought for 3.5 years and was sanctioned by the IBO to fight for their 200lb belt even after NSW said he wasn't healthy to fight.

...I agree that Greeny should go back down to LH but I'm not so sure about his ability to match anyone...I think he'll be definately more competitive at LH and there's alot more big names but the reality is Greeny ain't a young man anymore and he needs to be selective in his matchups if he wants to prolong his career...:good
