Whipping shots by Sotelo, hitting the back of Fuentez's gloves but a fair number passing through and crunching his nose as well. Fuentez is trying to lay a hand on the much taller and stringy Sotelo but his technique is awful and the target is too long and far off. Sotelo is putting jabs and uppercuts together now from well outside. Fuentez is losing balance just blocking shots. Sotelo bangs him into a corner and lets loose with several pendulum shots. One left hook catches Fuentez in the windbag and he's GASPING ON HIS KNEES!!

KO1!!

Eleven minutes in the broadcast, and there's only a single 4-rounder left on the listed card that we haven't already seen.

If it's pre-recorded and ended early, we should definitely see it. :happy

 

Why are they showing us little girls in creepily matching attire, rather than one more fight? :blood

 

...why are they now showing us a fight from July instead of the last one from tonight? (Tony Harrison vs. Keith Collins @ 154lbs, incidentally...)

I think that was a replay of Edgardo Lopez vs. Felix Rivera.

The graphic said "July 15th" and they kept repeating "Asesino Lopez". There were several 2nd round knockouts on the Solo Boxeo card in Puerto Rico on that date, but only one involved a Lopez.

Pretty satisfying result. They dealt equal damage in the first, and then early in the 2nd Rivera (I think) scored a knockdown and started acting cocky...even going so far as to pull a Mayorga and stick out his tongue after allowing Lopez a freebie. It was all downhill from there.

It's always great when cocky mouths get shut and over-weaning bravado proves costly. That was almost up there with Bute-Miranda. :yep
