Sergei still has some good skills. He was bringing it to Helenius and making this a good fight.

Wegner has his claws sunk into a prospect I'm very fond of (Dominick Britsch, who was on the non-TV undercard). I'd really like to see the kid get away from him and hook up with a world-class American trainer.

For all we know, he could actually have latent power belied by his low KO % just going to waste due to being poorly coached.

I remember Bernstein used to always say how Sergei had to be careful when he threw the right to the body because he was open for a counter left hook. Wonder if Helenius is quick enough and has good enough timing to get some of those in there?

    Round 3

Helenius is coming forward throwing left hook and right uppercut combos but not really placing them well or sitting down on them. Liakhovich is jabbing up into his face and blocking everything with his crossed-arm elbow shield and some jerky movement side to side. Nice right to the face by Liakhovich! Good body work too. BIG left hook reaching up and smacking across Helenius' cheek. Liakhovich has a bloody nose but is really bossing this round.

    10-9 Liakhovich

    29-28 Liakhovich
