F you. The guy just made another sensational KO victory against a peak Lyakhovich and this internet jerk is bitching.

As for the Klitschkos, they are in a league all their own, but actually Helenius is way ahead of where they were at the same stage of their careers. He's knocking out former heavyweight champs one after the other!

Lost the first seven rounds and looked amateurish in the process.

Turned it on in the eighth and got a KD.

And finished the matter off with a big KO in the ninth.

    A mixed bag.

Needs to do some serious work on the fundamentals.

    Defence, footwork etc.

With his obvious power, he could be a serious contender.

What, can't take a little criticism of a fighter can you? :nut I call it like I see it, if you're getting outboxed by the likes of Sam Peter and Liakhovich you're nowhere near ready for a Klitschko. He should wait a few years for his chance to come, because if he steps up to them right now he'll get destroyed.

I had him winning by at least 5 rounds prior to the KO. Helenius impressed me greatly during this fight. Prior to this I thought he really had to work on his foot work and stamina badly. Tonight I have seen massive improvements in his stamina, his foot work still needs a lot of work. He has lost the a lot of the fat around his belly, lets hope he's taking it seriously now.

Tbh I think I might just have to say that Helenius right now is the best finisher in boxing, forget about his first 10 fights or so, just have a look at his last 5 fights. Koing 3 ex World champs as well as European champs flat out cold.

Still only 15 fights under his belt, but make no mistake about it, Helenius has made massive strides today. As I have said along I still want to see him pad his record against decent opposition prior to facing a Klitschko. Right now I don't fancy him against a technical fighter like Chambers, Povetkin or Adamek.
So I would like to see him pad his record against decent, busy, stepping stone fighters like Chagaev, Timur, Haye and Mormeck.

Once this chap has 20 fights under his belts he will be very. very dangerous. Dare I say it, is he the best finisher is the business? I think he just might might be, I thnk so.

I don't disagree with any of that, It just sounded like you were trying to ridicule a guy who just made yet another sensational KO over yet another former world champ, in only his 16th fight.

What I'd like to see now is a beauty contest between Henenius' and Povetkin's girlfriends!

LOL! Are you serious? Wlad became world champion at age 24. Helenius can have 30 fights more and his technique, athleticism and defense would still be nowhere near that of a young Wlad. Only thing he has over him is the chin and the power is about equal it seems.

Intelligent technical fighters should still beat him if they do not get drawn into a brawl. A lot of his early success is due to good matchmaking.

he's got no skills and good boxer would outbox him easily, Helenius in Peter and Sergei fights was probably behind on points. With well past prime Peter and Sergei. But he is very dangerous due to power, punch resistance and stamina, all opponents must respect this , and Robert would have a puncher chance with everybody on the boxing scene now.

But to be honest a rate higher guys like Povetkin Adamek Haye or Chambers

Reading some of the comments in this idiotic thread really made me laugh out loud. The internet boxing experts here probably have not seen any of Helenius's fights if they are claiming him technically poor a fighter. He has more variety in his punches than either of the Klitschko's and his overhand right and left hook/uppercut are technically as good as anyone's, but more powerful. He also punches opponents body. Actually, I don't think there is technically as sound and powerful puncher as Robert in the whole heavy weight division today. Except Wladimir, obviously.

In yesterday's bout Robert also showed good stamina, good skin and real killer instinct and the fight was one of the most interesting and entertaining fights the have been fought in the heavy weight division lately, since Robert decided to brawl instead of staying outside jabbing.

People who are saying he would be destroyed by K's are clueless. He probably would not win either of them at this stage, but both brothers, especially Wladimir would have to respect Helenius's punching power and it would make an interesting and entertaining battle for boxing fans to see even at this stage.

    +1 Manning.

No, The Finn was way ahead of Peter and at least 3-4 rounds up on Sergi.
The kid's got a real nice long hook.

For 16 fights he's done just great.
He has improved a lot since he's started beating up ex-champs.

He got some more improving to do...he's just finished beating his thrid ex-champ in his 16th fight. And with a broken hand.

Does any one know what were the other three fights he won with broken hands.

Had this guy been an American with a broken hand one arm KO, everyone would be going ga ga.

    Same o Same o.
The haters got a new boy to hate.

Could I have my rose colored sun glasses on?:huh
Sergi was winning 8 rounds, :blood7 rounds easy:-(, the Dork's a stumble bumb....with a lucky punch. Sergi won 6 rounds easy:admin....Sergi won 5 rounds easy....

No... that is not what happened. Just like Peter was way behing in his fight too.

You made some points. He can knock guys out with the right to the body, the left hook to the head, or the uppercut. He gets points for his punch variety.
