Did anybody ever find any concrete record of Dean Martin's boxing?

I can only find some other Dean Martins on boxrec and nothing under his birth name. He said he boxed as "Kid Crochet". I've seen several different records quoted. One was 25-11 on his imdb bio. I think he joked about losing most of his fights before too. Does anybody know of any actual fights showing up in newspapers or anything?

I heard varying things but I think he was just an amateur. Consult the Nick Tosches' book. Never got around to reading that one.

Tony Danza went 9-4 (9), Mickey Rourke went 6-0-2 (4), Mark Gastineau went 15-2 (15) 1NC, Ed Too Tall Jones went 6-0 (5), and Alonzo Highsmith went 27-1-2 (23). I can't find **** on Dean Martin or Charles Bronson though.

Found this... His teens took place during the Great Depression of the Thirties, and he quit high school in the tenth grade, remarking later that “It was because I thought I was smarter than the teacher!” He held down a number of part and full-time jobs as a teen – service station attendant, shoe-shine boy, clerk in a store, steel-mill worker, and amateur welterweight boxer and prizefighter. Fighting as “Kid Crochet,” the teenager earned from $10 to $25 a match. During this period he suffered a cracked lip and a broken nose, both of which he dealt with later with corrective surgery. Of his twelve bouts, he would later say "I won all but eleven.

I believe Jack Palance had a background in boxing -- a fact his nose and eyebrows seem to back up.
