Atlas takes his fighters deep to where he needs them to be. Cornermen should invest this much emotion in their fights.
Altas is the stupidest ****... I still remember when he tried to say "menage a trois" but ended up pronouncing it like it was spelled. Totally hilarious.
Naz Richardson does a much better job of it. Atlas just spits (literally) frantic pop-psych nonsense.
His two successful fighters have been a pair of guys he inherited from other trainer, 20 years apart. Moorer was champ under Manny Steward, ho taught him everything, and did better with him than Atlas ever could. In that instance, Atlas showboated his way in corner to some fame. Now he inherits Povetkin, ranked number one, and showboats in corner to more fame and publicity. As long as many writers who cover sports are his friends he's safe. A good trainer does not need to pul that ****. Atlas is not a good trainer, never was.
Teddy Atlas openly claims he can raise people from the dead. He is the real dark lord of boxing. Forget that wannabe Adam Booth. His powers and his minions are no match for Atles- the necromancer! This content is protected
He should, but I don't think he will----yet. Atlas convinces some guys they need him, he tries that with every fighter he has ever gotten chance with. Simon Brown won welterweight tile under Pepe Correa, a great trainer. Management somehow became convinced Atlas was god of all trainers, fired Correa, bought in Atlas. Two fight later Brown, and his management, had enough. Atlas was dumped. On other hand Michael Moorer started kissing Teddy's ass, took him along time to wake up. ****, he went and bought Teddy a brand new car after win over Holyfield. He feel in love for a while, then got smart. Elvir Murqui had career stalled due to Atlas, was afraid to dump him for long time. Once he did, he improved. So did LaLonde, who could not take Atlas anymore in less than a year with him. When him and manager got disgusted, and were ready to dump him, Atlas ran straight to reporters he knew, and told them that he was one doing dumping. He's a weasel. If Povetkin is strong minded, Atlas is gone. If not, he'll side with him against his managers.
