Ever thought their plan isn't to go anywhere fast? Fighting like this give Wilder experience of not just the fights but of the training camps and sparring themselves. This isn't such a stupid way to develop him as a fighter. He's an olympian American heavyweight. They could throw him in with some decently big names in the division right now if they want. Of course they don't think hes ready yet? Wilder is only 25 anyway, he got more than enough time to develop. Look at Wladimir, he was brought along and put in with too many fighters that presented a stylistic nightmare for him. He lost because he didn't have time to adapt his own boxing brain and skills to fight those nightmares. If they're taking Wilder this slowly all of that sparring time will pay off. I know Cammerelle is pretty much a long term amateur, so he can't be used as an example. So take take Rakhim Chakhkiyev, he isn't being brought along at an incredible pace either (although his comp is slightly better than Wilders but he isn't fighting as often). You don't have to be put in de la Hoya, Whitaker or Reid warp-drive because you have some metal around your neck.
If you're referring to Wilder. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_FmADVggCk[/ame] This content is protected
no1 minds wilkder taking it slow..what we do mind is the poor opposition...there is building your man up then theres just knocking out cans for the sake of it..what is wilder going to learn from beating up these guys and knocking them all out??abslutly nothing...
lmao think i should stay off the crack pipe...should have wrote an olympic medalist not gold sorry bud...i do that with khan all the time aswell lol
All of those training camps he undertakes to take on these bums, means that he gets lots of sparring, lots of time with his trainer working on new things, tightening up certain aspects of his games. Also while we may scoff at some of these guys records, they do have a number of fights under their belts and do learn a couple of things when they are fed to the lions. They can give you quite a bit of experience (take the slob that decked Wilder, he can go back to those tapes and see why that happened against such a fighter, whereas if he gets dropped by say Tiger Thompson in the gym they can say "ahh well hes a good fighter we're not at that level, nothing to worry about.") It maybe frustrating but it could pay off in the long run. I think hes packing Grade AAA china and isn't going anywhere though.
No worries. He was never going to beat a fighter as experience as Cammarelle and because we expect our fighters to go on to be pros after Olympic success and Cammarelle didn't (neither did Kindelan) we can forget about them I guess.
rodriguez against him would be an interesting fight. i see rodriguez hurting him badly. david could take a punch. wilder cant
i get what your saying but the oppostiion is way to poor..and there hasnt been any type of step up in class.its complete can after complete can its frustrating.theres only so much you can learn from that...i agree i think hes a gd few combos from being put on his arse..but hed have to fight someone who could throw a combo lol
