    How does he get ranked so high when his biggest fight is his upcoming fight against Glen Johnson and as we all know he got KO'd in Andrade I but since he was in Canada he got a 20 second standing count

    Wasn't Froch's very last fight in the super 6 against Johnson to make it to the finals of the tourney? Even a 42-year-old Johnson has the potential to be Bute's worst nightmare : An Andrade-like pressure fighter with more skills and experience.

    In order to be the best you have to beat the best he wont even step in with a top 5 guy and he's scared to leave Quebec IMO

    You say that to say what? I said how is he number 1 SMW when he hasnt fought any of the top guys in the SMW division

    your opinion counts for next to nothing because you don't know the basic fights pertaining to the argument that you yourself have started. also, your logic is flawed - you can't beat the best if you're the best, clearly....

    Who ranks him #1 SMW other than Boxrec? And we know their rankings are ludicrous. I'm just saying him getting hate for fighting Johnson isn't founded.

    I consider him the number 3 SMW, behind Ward and Froch (who are obviously fighting for the number 1 spot.) I've also got a big question mark next to Bute, Mendy and Brinkley do not a champion make.

    actually he has had many opponents in the top10. Some of them are no longer there but were when he fought them.

    Even now, look at the Ring mag top 10. Stieglitz is a #5. Stieglitz was completely dominated frm start to finish by Andrade, just before Bute knocked Andrade out.

    Sakio Bika is #6. Bute beat him as well.

    Glen Johnson is #7. Bute's next opponent.

    The Ward v Froch fight will crown a ring magazine champion, but not a lineal one.

    STFU how can you be the best when you not fighting any of the top fighters in a weight class where you spent majority of your career at and if he was any other top SMW(Ward, Froch, Kessler, Dirrell, ect)with 9 title fights but hasnt step in with a top guy he would get boycotted


    One he's not getting hate for fighting Im actually giving him props for finally taking a challenge. And Im not just saying people who does there rankings im talking in general other boxers, fans, ect.

    He's a top 5 for sure. #3 for me. He would be a nightmare for anyone in the division and has the potential to be #1.

    you forgot he is only fighting bums and cab drivers,he has a glass chin exposed by andrade 1,the only time he travelled was to Romania,the motherland and that he personally offered 1 danish krone to kessler in order to duck him and a bag of peanutts to an alchoholic bum.and do not forget he didn't wanted to fight in super6 cause he was scared.anything else?
