I am a fan. He is a great fighter. Not retired just badly inactive for someone on his level. Hope to see more of him in the future.

I have no idea why he's remaining as inactive as he is, either. Last I heard is that he'll be facing Rico Ramos next.

That's great. Ramos or Rigondeaux are two no joke fighters. That'll be a show.

I have a feeling it might be difficult to get him decent opponents. For all his 3-time Olypian story, Rigondeaux doesn't draw a huge amount money wise and he is a tough opponent. The risk/reward ratio isn't great for him.

That is probably why Top Rank wanted to get him a title quickly so atleast people might want to fight him for a shot at winning the belt and it might make him more marketable.

Good. I'm getting tired of people overrating Ramos based on his KO of Shimoda. Dude was losing every round before the KO.

So much potential and skill yet no drive. I'm personally keeping an eye out for Gary Russell

What happened is that he is promoted by Bob Arum, and he isn't a lighter skinned latino fighter, i.e. Mexican. Arum is known to sit is black fighters on the shelf for long periods of time, while getting his Mexican fighters fights more frequently.
