So this threads objective is to discredit Fedor's wins the way others have discredited Fedor's losses?:think

    Why put yourself through this...

    Re-punch resistance Popkins

Maybe the Big Foot fight took it's toll on his ability to absorb a shot, I dont know. But he seemed to eat a dozen or so whilst being mounted. I know, even due to his size, Antonio isn't considered a huge puncher, but the leverage gained by BF in that position, as well as punching down and being 280+, he didnt seem to noticeably rock Fedor. He still had his senses to avoid a grater number than landed, as well as go for a sub at the end of the round

Fedor has always had an ability to roll with the punches so hasnt eaten to many through his career, and here's my point

Fedor's only been rocked badly twice in his career, Hendo and Fujita. Both, he didnt see coming, and there for was unable to slip

Is this really proof his chin has gone, maybe accumulative damage, (BF & Rogers fights especially) have eroded his ability, but I dont see it as being the case

He just didnt see them coming,Im sure you know the old boxing maxim

Because I think you are talking bull ****

You are disrespecting Dan, BF and Werdum's wins over Fedor by saying he's shot so it doenst count on their legacies, why cant I do the same to Fedor wins. God knows there's a few of them

Fedor hasn't declined to the point where anyone could say he's shot. That's absurd.

I'd say he's still physically 80% of the man he was in PRIDE circa 2005, but his mentality is no longer that of a top tier fighter. You can see it in the way he fights now - he's sloppy and reckless, disregards his Sambo and Judo in favour of wild brawling, and seemingly brings no gameplan with him into the cage. I honestly think if he rematched Semmy Schilt today, he'd charge in spamming overhand rights and get stopped in a couple of minutes. I've said it before on this forum - Fedor now fights like a man who wants to get out of the cage as soon as possible and doesn't care if he wins or loses.

MMA has advanced a huge amount during Fedor's career, while his own development has virtually stood still. He still spars with mid-level fighters from Eastern Europe and Russia, men who don't resemble the competition he now fights in North American organisations. His trainers are known as 'Stopwatch' and 'Towel' for all the guidance they give him - can you imagine Black House, AKA or Jackson's offering a star fighter so little? His old school approach didn't hinder him in the first half of the last decade, but times have certainly changed.

Make no mistake, Fedor could challenge for the number one spot again if he had the desire. That's really all it would take - the will to win, an elite camp, and a return to a calculating, clinical style of fighting that incorporates his entire skillset.

But I think he's mentally finished, and the sooner his fans can wish him a happy retirement, the better.

I want you to know stoo that I never have said that "Dan, BF and Werdum's wins over Fedor dont count"

I never wrote that nor do I think that.

I have said that werdums win over Fedor is the greatest MMA victory ever. thats not giving werdum credit?

I personally think that Werdum's win is the only loss that might have happened in Fedors prime, though I wouldnt bet on it.

I give fighters credit for wins, but I also have eyes and can see severe decline from fedor. None of these guys beat a prime Fedor which is a fact.

Well you implied it, with out really meaning to in that case

All Im asking is, the guys I mentioned were far from at their best. Is it unfair to make the underlined statements about Fedor's losses and not his wins?

And taking a fighters whole career into account as you said, do the wins in the OP strengthen or weaken his resume?

You have arlovski in the op as shot, Tim sylvia as well. Andrei never looked better in his fight vs fedor, his boxing was very good... then he left himself open and fedor put him out.

Tim sylvia didnt fight for more than a year after his loss to fedor. when he did it was vs ray mercer and tim weighed in close to 300 lbs. Tim didnt look like that for his fight against fedor. tim's prior loss was to big nog.

tring to compare someone of obvious decline at the time he was beaten in fedor, to someone like tim sylvia, (who was still at his best when the fought) is just being insincere.

And you know that we all know better than that.

Andre made a technical error in dropping his hand when going for the knee like Fedor made an error in jumping back into Werdums guard then lost his next 3. Means he's shot doesn't it

Well Randy came back off a 13 month lay off, Big Nog 8, Fedor 7, and it was 2 year since Mercer's last MMA match and 8 months after his last boxing match and they all beat Tim.

And isnt Tim not training cardio thus being overweight the same as Fedor not having any BJJ training when dealing with a World Class guy like Werdum the same thing if he wasnt shot in the fight before?

So the beating Fedor gave them made them shot. Not only does Fedor beat you, he ruins fighters for life
