Robert Garcia said that ortiz story is a bit embelished. But he could be hating. The brothers seem genuinely affected by the abandonment.

I believe fighters can be quick to overstate their hardships whilst growing up, in order to sell a story and gain sympathy. So I don't believe Junior entirely if he claims his father used him as a human shield.

As for Senior never denying it and his family confirming it, do you happen to have a link for this? I'm not too clued up on the situation, to be honest.

I for one know that the blowout wasn't fabricated. It was real. Jr. Took it to another level because he wanted to hurt his daddy and embarrass him. There's still unresolved issues that will always put tension on the relationship.

Take whatever robert says with a grain of salt.. He doesnt like victor at all! They showed victors old beat up living quarters on an old hbo pre-fight story... they showed his drunk father as well. Im sure victor went through hell as a child!

Yeah, that's the thing. It's hard to know who's telling the truth. Mikey Garcia, obviously being on Robert's and Brandon's side of the fence, claims Victor isn't entirely honest.

Don't know how true this all is, though.

Floyd's own mamma confirmed it as well during her portion of the interview. It was an interview a while back I think even before Floyd changed his nickname to money. it wasn't an article but an actual face to face. But there should be something on the web that confirms the story.

IMHO, staged or not, the argument between Sr-Jr was truly an embarassment to everyone - the mayweathers, the media, and the people who keep turning a blind eye in what they see or witness. Floyd Jr is a sports icon and admired by many for his boxing prowess. What he does in and out of the ring is being followed and emulated by his ardent followers, especially the young.

Reading through all the comments here, I am saddened by those who keep posting as if nothing was wrong with the mayweathers calling each other nasty names. Honestly, who really thinks the disrespect is just normal. It's never normal. If this is for promotional purposes, then the bad outstandingly outweights the good effects. HBO should have edited that portion as not doing so was kinda irresponsible and insensitive.
