Once his toe has recovered the skys the limit, it really is for Haye.

 

If he cant secure a Vitali fighht then he should go for Povetkin for the chance to become 2x world heavyweight champion and bring more to the table for another Klit fight

 

the only route for Haye is the M25 into London and to stay there.

 

He can't command a big pay day anymore and his fan base has taken a huge hit. Considering he picked up a lot of casuals with his trash talking and then proceeded to let them all down with a meek performance his stock couldn't be lower.

He's rightfully been ridiculed for the little toe excuse and the 3 big PPV's he took part in where major letdowns. People just aren't interested in him and if he did want to rebuild his reputation and have another tilt at the title he'll have to do it the hard way.

I don't think he's got the desire nor the dedication to rebuild his shattered image and to re-establish himself as a force again.

I'm surprised at the anger at him on this forum, to say he had a bad career is very harsh. English, European, WBO, WBC, WBA, Ring titles at Cruiserweight, then WBA champ at heavyweight and losing to the best since Lewis. How many fighters boast that, especially British?

 

I can't see him fighting on unless he secures a Vitali fight.

For his own good, he should take on anyone considered high enough in the ratings (other than a Klit) particularly if they have bad mouthed him following the Klitschko debacle.

If he could fight another year and take on 3 opponents in a year, the likes of Arreola, Povetkin and say ... Adamek, then he would go a long way to redeeming himself. Assuming he fought with some balls that is.

 

Haye is the one fighter who brings the general out in the British forum. There's next to no perspective on the guy.

My opinion is that the Harrison fight soured most people's relationship with him. It was bad enough the fight got made (though hilarious that some people started picking Harrison to win when he'd been shown up as being resolutely domestic level), but to spend two rounds doing nothing was painful. Yeah, the finish was fun but it was the most pointless fight of Haye's career.

That said, all these people saying there's no money in Haye now... balls. He will still command big money because, despite the loss in a truly awful fight, he's a name. He can redeem himself if he chooses to.

British boxing will miss him. When was the last time a UK fighter actually got the mainstream interested?

 

Other than the brothers, there isn't a single HW I'd pick to beat him.

 

he should either fight a povetkin or arreola or helanius ect in america to get a good performance,a win and some respect back,then get a fight with vitali,to then if he beats vitali get a rematch with wlad.

or go straight to fighting vitali,and fight him in the US,he can decision vitali i think,but he needs it to not be in klit teritory. then should he beat vitali the 2nd comeback fight is wlad.

it can be done within a year easy surely.

he has an ok career,but its tainted should he quit now,hele be remembered for how he ended it with a lackluster performance.

 

i really do think haye if he wanted could fight all the other heavies and beat them all,and by fighting 3 fights a year for another 2-3 years and beating the other heavies in entertaining fashion in the US,he wont need no belts or klits,hele be popular and bring excitment to the division,even if its no 3 heavyweight ranking.

what would you rather watch?,the klits dominating heavies in boring fashion,or haye going toe to toe with same size heavyweights,and boxing/fighting exciting fights?.

klits can have all the titles,be super heavies and enjoy thier german crowd and money,but they are still just not good to watch.

He has his shot against Wlad, and embarassed himself by falling down for no reason.

Povetkin will not fight him. There is Holyfield for easy money, and then a mandatory against Rahemn which will also be a money fight.
