    Anytime someone reaches the top of the mountain, there are always some who throw out the classic line - " he fought nobody".

    Nat Fleischer made similar criticisms of Ali and Louis.

    i saw all his fights thanx! but i dont no what we supoze explane 2 u? 41 have tryed 41 have failed. he fought all of em HONEST and he IS undefeeted. :thumbsup

    On the night of the fight (41 occasions), 41 people came into the ring as opponents and all have failed. The statement says nothing about being 41 DIFFERENT people. Ur looking way too much into it.

    Mayweather has had 41 total opponents and 40 different opponents. So technically, 41 have tried and 41 have failed is correct. In the end, I'm not sure why it really matters anyway. People would be more confused if he was going around saying 40 have tried and 40 have failed.
