Lucian Bute vs Glen Johnson - Poll

I give Johnson a shot, Bute didnt like being pressured against Magee, and Johnson has enough pop to test those whiskars

 

Bute by late KO or safe UD. But Johnson will make him earn his pay.

 

Glen is one of my favorite fighters at the moment. But Bute beats him badly.

 

If Bute had to travel like Froch.. then I would expect Johnson to be a live underdog.

However, with the 40+ year ols also having to do all the travellign etc for this... I don't see much opportunity for Glenn. But he is gutsy and will still try. I expect a clear UD or perhaps a stoppage for Bute.

 

Johnson is over 40,has lost 15 and is fighting in Bute's backyard.Forgone conclusion here-Bute easy UD.

Johnson is not who he was... and he never was that good at SMW.

ha ha you don't have a ****ing clue. Johnson gasses, so it can be a late KO/TKO from Bute.

 

We'll see Bute getting a lot of pressure there.
Johnson is better than Andrade at doing this.

It's amazing that so many people can envision a body shot KO. Shows how devastating Bute's body shots have been over the last several fights. Johnson's as tough as they get (as was Andrade), but I have a feeling Bute will give him a Fitzsimmons-like solar plexus shot as well.

 

I'm picking Johnson.

1. He got the better of Bute in sparring, so that's something.
2. That right hand of his is going to land even more and even harder against a southpaw.
3. Who has Bute been knocked out by? A guy who pressured and pressured and absorbed his shots. If Andrade can do that then Johnson can.

That'd be a huge win for Johnson, and if you're gonna lose it might as well be to a crafty old veteran, no shame in that

Bute's team think differently and in the only video we saw, Johnson wasn't landing much, Bute blocking and avoiding punches. In fact, Bute did land more punches. And that was a video to hype Johnson, so...

The fight will be in Quebec city. It's official now. Damn! I'll have to travel 2 hours and a half and come back the same night. I hope the undercard will be nice. The ambiance is fine though, but I'll buy a good ticket because the giant screen is not very sharp.
