you did cross the line, Owen died ffs putting up a brave battle in a foreign land. to even use that as a quote on how Broner is going to give Burns a "hiding" is ****ing low as you go. Z Gorres, Watson, McClellan etc are all lucky to be alive, these guys put there lifes on the line everytime they step in the ring, what the **** have you ever done in the ring, apart from take it up your brown ring no doubt.
We all have to remember that boxing is a sport in which two gladiators get in the ring for our entertainment. These individuals are courageous beyond belief, and put their lives on the line each and every time they step in the ring. Sure we get boxers we dislike, but the last thing most people on here want to see if a fighter seriously injured in the ring. So I suggest before anyone makes rash comments about what this fight may end up like, take a step back and think about the families of Owen, McCellan etc. I no it may have been a half hearted attempt at a bit of humour, but it's really not funny. That out of the way, I think (and hope) Burns takes this with relative ease. Put a half decent fighter in with Ricky, and we get the best out of him (Martinez). That, combined with the fact Broner isn't really that good (apart from power-wise which may trouble Ricky's very good chin), it points to a clear UD for Burns as long as the judging is half fair. Mitchell still sparks him tho!
Yeah why should people rate Broner he's just 22 undefeated beaten Litzau and Ponce I mean Ricky had surpassed that at his age hadnt he...................................... oh wait
Counter puncher etraordinaire. Dudes, Broner isn't even the best prospect at 130lbs, the fact that some people say he'll be a future pound for pound star are talking crazy. Broner's all speed-based, and he doesn't even implement that speed in the right way. He's extremely tentative, he tries to be a counter-puncher when he shouldn't be, if he applied himself and became more of a boxer-puncher he could be very good, but as it stands he's another Devon Alexander. He was getting out-boxed by the man in my avatar for christ sake, actually out-boxed. I know I say people don't acknowledge his improvement enough(and those of you who still don't are in legion:twisted but if Daniel Ponce de Leon is out-boxing you, and you've moved him up to super-feather, and you've fought at as high as light-welter, you are not a top level fighter. Jumping in, flailing, and going ''RAH RAH RAH!!!!'' and jumping back out isn't the sign of some kind of slick, skillfull, future star. His power is overstated too, you do realise that it was Jason Litzau he knocked out? Litzau possesses a rather poor chin, so knocking him out isn't any kind of stone cold proof that he's a big banger. Argenis Mendez is better than Broner, and he'll prove it against Salgado IMO.
You never replied to ma last question given your assumption...........if i remember right...........feel free to check previous posts. It consisted of a multiple punching relentless puncher with movement dishing a schooling. Dont get me wrong, he is special (Broner) but .............relentless pressure via left hook/head combos wont serve him well (Broner)......though i wish him well. He should ditch the 'tashe too.........hardly compares to a Scott Harrison chest rug. Broner under pressure will turn one dimensional ala desperate.
Ponce de leon outboxed him? :happy:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy Have a day off. All De Leon done was walk away all night.
This. As i posted before, he leans back, legs static, trying to ship shots via head movement. Ends up rigid............then he can be opened up via the body.
