I guess I should have been more clear.

What I should have said would be: Heaviweights past mid 80s have increased in size (generally). However, greats of 50-60-70's were considerably smaller men and in MY OPINION would have gone to hell and back in a fight with either Klitschko, prime for prime.

I don't disagree at all both Klitscho's have mastered range and know how to use their height and size like no one's business they are complete fighters and there isn't anything else to say.

:smoke RESUME and signifacant wins are all opinion . these are not measureable . no way to determine how one fighter compares against another unless they fight . there is no such thing as an all time great . It is simply not measurable . People ( and this has actually been studied ) will remember things from their youth in a bias and favourable manner . thats why new music is considered crap until it becomes old music with its listeners . Boxing and boxers are the same . we all remeber highlight reals because its all we remember . :good hence we all have rose colored glasses on at some point in our lives . Cheers mate .

Bubby on Tyson v Ruddock: "A club fighter will look good fighting another club fighter. Not say they were bums, but Ruddock was TKO'd by David Jaco...."

Thats a nice idea but im 25 and my favorite fight is Hagler vs Mugabi and Arguello vs Olivares which is before my time and yes there are all time greats ...I almost feel like insulting you for saying there arn't look at Armstrong, Grebb, Robinson, Sanchez who died before his time, I will respond to your music reference I know it well we all grow up with our music then get sick of the new stuff and say our's was the best it's opinionated but that's music not boxing amazing fighters before my time like the "Toy Pitbull" and Fitsimmons accomplished things that put our era to shame I do wear rose colored glasses with my favorite fighters but I know the History of boxing and I dont just watch Highlight reels I've spent hundreds on boxing fights surprisingly one of the best I bought was Gainer vs Kelly overlooked fight and what ended it took a lot of skill to pull off.

:patsch There is no way to determine the skill level of the beaton oponents compared to today . NO WAY . accomplishments are simply accomplished in a TIME PERIOD and can only be juged by that . period end of story . ALL TIME GREAT is not a measurable quality . An AT THIS TIME GREAT is somewhat measurable . :deal And its not possible to make reasonable comparisons from differant time periods .
