I can see why people might suspect it being staged, but I think this was actually genuine. Maybe it was played up a bit for the cameras, but it felt like there was genuine anger on both sides...from what we know of the family history, it would make sense, too. If they were going to stage something, I'm not sure they would have done it in this way -- the whole thing about Roger being the real trainer and Floyd Sr being a rubbish fighter and trainer seems like it would hit way too close to home. Even acting it out would slowly touch on the pieces of truth under all the insults, and that would result in a real feud.
Wasn't just last week Floyd told the whole world he was just acting up to hype up fights? Now this? C'mon, his whole public persona is a fraud and I aint buyin it.
I saw this article on another site. Pretty good stuff. The author was at the gym the day of the argument and claims it definitely wasn't staged. He also says that Sr. said something that wasn't shown on camera that set Jr. off. http://datruthboxing.com/blog.cfm/post/da-truth-on-the-mayweather-jr-mayweather-sr-feud/
