boxing is full of corruption and official decisions don´t mean nothing in those cases at least outside some statistics on boxrec and maybe Montreal.. fight fans honor the real achievements of fighters as proven inside the ring and do not nuthugg on corrupt judes or referees..
Abraham also got conned in his fight with Dirrell. Dirrell pushed him down and got a kd awarded, AA knocked him down twice but the ref refused to acknowledge that and ruled it as slips etc.. the fight would have gone completely different under fair circumstances. So i´m the last one to defend Dirrell and don´t give him much credit if any for that fight with Abraham but nevertheless he beat Froch and thats far more than Lucy has ever done or will ever accomplish..:deal

 

Same as Pavlik. Being put in the top 10 that is. Inactivity. He might never fight again, but at the same time we know he has a chin, Hits as hard as any 168lber, and his heart in the ring. plus he was former MW champ.

I could go and try to convince you that you are wrong, but others have already tried and anyway everything was said in other threads. In fact, it is my point.

Look at the last 10-20-30 or whatever pages of threads you like and I'm sure theirs at least 7 out of 10 threads that do what your are doing. Trying to bash on Bute. On the 3 out of 10 other threads some are for informations on Bute's career and we a very thin numbers are from "delusional" Bute's fans trying to convince people that Bute is the best. So in fact if you think that you need to right the wrongs in the world of boxing, you should try to make Bute's thread stating that the hate he is receiving is exaggerate.

 

Bute has such a high rating kind of by default. He doesnt have the resume of Kessler or Froch but due to circumstance is above them.
Here goes -

Kessler was #1 SMW and Ward beat Kessler, so should go above Kessler. Kessler beat Froch, so should go above Froch, but Ward doesnt have as good a resume overall as Bute and hasnt been as impressive against common opponents.

I agree Bute hasnt fought the top guys yet but look at resumes overall

Bute beat Bika - better than Ward,
Miranda - better than Ward,
Andrade twice, first time Andrade was #3 SMW
Joppy, - a nothing win but still got a LHW title shot after
Zuniga, better than Cloud and Cloud beating Zuniga has put him above Dawson at LHW
Brinkley - mandatory
Berrio - Holds a win over Steiglitz
Magee - who was European champ and world rated fighter and now WBA INT SMW champ
Mendy - undefeated beaten nobody of real note

Ward has beaten
Kessler - A very good win better than any name on Bute resume but remember that Kessler was an unwell fighter
Miranda a formerly KOd fighter on points
Green - who lost to Miranda
Bika - who lost clearer to Bute and Calzaghe
Abraham - who was coming off of 2 clear S6 defeats and who cant compete at SMW

Now Wards victory over Kessler (even if he wasnt unwell) isnt better overall than Andrade, Berrio, Zuniga etc.
Remember that Cloud scoring a victory on points over Zuniga put him above Dawson in The Ring rankings.
Andrade was in the top 5 when Bute beat him and Bute beat Bika years before Ward.

So Wards best wins
Green not as accomplished a SMW as Magee
Arthur not as accomplished a SMW as Berrio
Bika beaten clearer by Bute
Kessler a good win but really overall is it better than Andrade twice, Zuniga, Brinkley, Mendy & Joppy?
Miranda beaten clearer by Bute



I didnt like the long count Bute recieved but also havent liked Wards illegal tactics hes been allowed to employ
