This thread is yet another reason why some people feel compelled to defend Floyd.

No one thinks the guy is the greatest citizen in the world, or that he deserves to be praised for a lot of his actions. But when people like this guy constantly make thread after thread about how Floyd is obviously worse than Satan himself, people tend to say "Enough! Get off his nuts!" I believe some of you people would actually send him to the electric chair if you had the power. Seriously, what has he done to you?

You can, of course, make whatever thread you want, but all it does is demonstrate your own hatred and insecurities.

Just pointing out the obvious and inform all Floyd fans how they're treated by their god. Floyd is shitting on his legions and all of them eat his **** like it's ice cream. :-(

It's just the opposite, in fact.

Floyd fans don't care that he is fighting to secure his future. They don't care that he is making decisions based on business. They don't care that he isn't a role model for their children. They realize the man isn't perfect, and never claimed he was some saint...

So when Floyd talks all this ****, and does stupid ****... No one is torn to shreds about it, because they weren't worshipping him in the first place.

Without question, people do go overboard on their hatred if him but it never ceases to amaze me how he is idolised by so many. I simply can't understand how can people cheer for the dude. He isn't Hitler, but he is a dick.

People have to remember the context of this quote from Floyd. He said this after talking about cars being paid and everything and that he's cashing out on another stupid payday which means making easy money (by fighting a hopeless opponent :-(). It's really an insult to all fans when a great figher doesn't fight the best and is only there to "cash out". It's all well and good cause he deserve it and it's not a crime but can you at least give back to the fans by fighting the guy they wanted? Just once Floyd. Just once.

you're right, he should fight the WW champ for free...maybe instead of making $ for his years of perfecting his skills in the sweet science and fighting for other's amusement, he should refuse to accept payment, and refuse to fight anyone who wants paid as well....maybe just let the promoters who sit behind a desk and shuffle papers take all the money

It isn't for you to understand. People like who they like for whatever reason.

Some people see all of the trashtalk, etc. and think it's funny. Some people think it's repulsive. It's all about what you find offensive.

And I don't think people really idolize him. They are just willing to overlook the personal stuff because they like what he offers in the ring. Nothing more. It is, in fact, the opposite of idolizing.

    Give back to the fans???

He don't owe the fans ****! Not him, nor any other athlete who puts their ass on the line. Fans pay for what they want to see.

No one says you have to pay to see him fight. But there are a shitload of people who will pay to see him put on a science clinic (or pay to see him get his ass whipped).

    Sports is entertainment business.

Why don't you ask Bob Arum to "Give something back to the fans"?????

Floyd is not a world leader...he is a fighter trying to sell his fight to get paid. But to some of u weirdos on here, every single move he makes is under such heavy scrutiny, it's as if he actually did something to you personally. What's the big deal? You act like he hasn't paid his dues in the game or something. U want to see him knocked out? Fine. But interpreting every word of his to look for inconsistencies, and then go on a message board gossiping like a 16 year old girl, is just ridiculous. I have to be genuinely concerned for some of you guys if you are this worried about what Floyd (a guy who you supposedly hate) has to say.

I'm not saying people shouldn't cheer for him, they can cheer on whoever they want. Just that I can't understand how people have affection for him. I love what he offers in the ring. I'll pay top dollar to watch his skills in the ring (any fan of the sport should), I just can't cheer for him.

But people do idolise him, I've seen people on here try justify his wife beating. In the eyes of some people, Floyd can do no wrong. But every boxer has these type of fans, it isn't exclusive to Floyd.

Every popular athlete, musician, politician, actor, or whatever has these type of fans.

And you're way off about idolizing. You get one or two people on a forum who make a stupid comment, and you try to attribute it to "a lot of" his fans. Outside of people joking around, very few people excuse him for the stupid ****. You are exaggerating to make a point.

:lol::lol: Somebody better tell this fool. I'm not a "*****" by any definition. Typical of you, though. I bring up a point, and you resort to name-calling based on an assumption that you are absolutely wrong about.

And I don't want Pac to fight Martinez. It would be an epic mismatch in favor of Martinez, in my opinion. And I don't really give a **** who Pac fights. I don't really like or dislike him..
