Wlad is not interested in Povetkin

Say arreola is next, unless wlad envisions he'll have a mandatory some time soon he'll be hard pressed finding a better opponent than pov.

Povetkin isn't interested in fighting Wlad either, so I can't see any problems there :yep

 

Frankly, I'm not interested much either. IMO Wach would KO Povetkin.

 

Pov is coming back from the fringes of the division. He's said himself just last week that he's not ready for Wlad "...until he has a few more fights."

So, its not an issue, and I agree with both of them. Wlad is right on all points he makes and Pov is certainly not ready for him at the moment.

However, Pov is still better than half the top 10, so its only a matter of time before he's a mandatory.

 

Doesn't make the fight any more likely to (really)happen, if Pov is not ready.

 

Sauerland will not allow Povetkin to fight Wlad.

They refuses to fight him twice.

 

If anyone saw how Chagaev hit Povetkin pretty cleanly and regularly, combined with how Povetkin looked hurt a couple of times, I don't think there will be much interest in this fight. Povetkin missed his chance, and the drop in ratings for his fights, from around 6-7 million viewers down to less than 3.5 million, says a lot. Klitschko will dispatch of him eventually, but I am not sure anyone will care.

 

Well, he will fight Wlad or be stripped, I guess.

I'm not interested in seeing Wlad fight Povetkin either. It would be the same story all over again, as with most of his recent opponents. Povetkin runs all night, while Wlad pokes at him with the jab, resulting in a dull decision

It has been apparent for years now, that Atlas and his people are keeping Alexander away from the Klitschko's, waiting for them to either show massive signs of deterioration, lose to an opponent who is more palatable to Alex's comfort zone, or retire altogether. For the moment, the WBA is a safe haven for Povetkin, while also a convenient ( and fraudulant ) venue for calling himself a " champ. "

 

Let's face it. Sauerland know Povetkin isn't cut out for the big stage. He can't possibly challenge either K brother nor other top contenders. Guys like Adamek and possibly even a green Helenius would give him lots of problems.

Povetkin will never be a great money maker for Sauerland because he attracts very little viewership in Germany. The TV ratings of Povetkin vs. Chagaev were pretty much a disaster at 3 million viewers.

They will try to get him some easy paydays against guys like Holyfield, that's about it. Povetkin will never be a great fighter nor fight for a real title.
