marquez does good when his opponents come at him, he tried fighting mayweather as the aggressor.

    Good post.

Juan Marquez is awesome, one of the best boxing brains I've ever seen with technical genius, and also has the power to KTFO dudes all the time. :deal

Floyd was criticized for challenging Wright, then hightailing it when Winky accepted.

And a lot of guys called out Floyd. He only said yes for JMM because it was deemed safe and acceptable based on the phony P4P challenge they promoted it as.

That is bull****. No one is going to give Pac any credit for beating up JMM. It is a total mismatch, just like the Mayweather fight was. JMM doesn't belong at that weight. Total BS match for both Pacquiao and Mayweather...

Also, people believe that Mayweather will beat Ortiz, but most still respect the fact that he accepted the challenge of a young talented Welter Weight.

Stop throwing some kind of Mayweather pity party; it is a pathetic sight.

Marquez called out Mayweather. If the standard is that you have to fight a guy if you call him out(even if he's 2 or 3 divisions above you), then how can you criticize the bigger guy for accepting the challenge? You can't have it both ways.

Mayweather hadn't fought in almost 2 years when he fought Marquez. Mosley and Hoya both had layoffs shorter than that before they fought Mayweather. In both cases Mayweather was criticized for fighting guys coming off long layoffs. So obviously people believe that long layoffs are a problem and that a guy coming off one is entitled to a tuneup. For some reason that rule doesn't apply to Mayweather. Like I stated earlier, the standard is different for Mayweather.

It was a good win for Floyd. But, it would have been regarded higher, had there not been the weight controversy about the 2 pounds. If Marquez is competitive against Pac at a similar weight, in Nov., Floyd's win should rate higher than it does now.

Ring magazine (you can get the link) reported him weighing 152, I consider Ring credible, maybe you don't (that's your call) but I have no reason to discount their credibility.

Floyd's JMM win means nothing. That fight shouldn't have ever happened in the first place. Floyd is a punk for taking it as a tune-up fight at welterweight over 5 years in the division.

For the record JMM didn't "have to" jump two classes he chose to jump two classes, he asked for the fight, PBF didn't "make" him do anything.

He'd actually only fought for about 2 years at the weight, prior to Marquez. Ironically, Manny will have too, by the time he fights Marquez, in Nov.

It wasnt a slugfest or a brawl, It was a boxing match and JMM got outboxed and out classed. JMM was hit harder by Pac. Money didnt lean on him, wrestle him, or hold him. No power or strenght really came into play, as a matter of fact JMM was the agressor for over half the fight.:bbb:bbb:bbb

Mayweather throughy domanated Marquez who was a top 3 Pound for Pounder and the weight had nothing to do with it.

Aside form being slow, JMM was also tentative, probably intimidated by the size of the man facing him who outweighed him by 10 lbs or more. The weight gap was certainly a factor in that fight!

There is a reason why Mayweather couldnt finish Marquez because its impossible to.

If Pacquiao knocks out Marquez then it means he's done the impossible!!!!
