I reckon Frampton would completely annihilate Hyland even if Paul was in the shape and form of his life. I wouldn't even like to consider what would happen if they fought now

Come on ffs your overating Carl a bit , Paulie Hyland is a very good boxer and if he ever fought Frampton it would be a bit like the Turley fiught imo except Paulie is better than Turley , they way some people are hyping Carl is ridicules , he is good but is still only a 10 fight novice who didnt exactly put on the performance of his life last time out.

BTW if this fight did happen I would favour Carl by late stoppage.

I cant see Paulie taking that fight- he took one euro shot at ten days notice- and always says he wont do it again

As you know, we've sacked off our party afterparty and will be supporting the Official McCloskey Party.

We havent had time get round to relaunching it but will do it tonight.

It's on in the Beach Bar Club at the Odessey. I'll post a link tonight where people can buy tickets.

    :good

Excuse me now moorser, you're accusing me of overrating Carl, but I think you like many others are taking too much notice of the Turley fight. Carl had a bad night against an awkward ****... It should stand to him hopefully. But i'd be more inclined to read into his earlier fights; the most notable one being his annihilation of Voronin who took bernard dunne to a close points decision. Maybe i'm wrong for judging too much on the one fight (voronin-frampton), but imo outweighs the argument ppl make of the turley fight. Either way, even if they cancel eachother out, I still think he would hammer hyland. completely hammer him!!!! Maybe even a 3rd/4th round stoppage. that's my opinion on the matter anyway

Tyson Fury isn't an Irish traveller, as far as I'm aware the traveller heritage is English Romany Gypsy origin on his father's side.

Didn't know Andy Lee was a traveller or is this just speculation based on him being a distant cousin of Fury?

Tyson Furys father is an Irish traveller , his mother is a mixture of Romany and Irish I belive , dont think Lee is a traveller even though his and Furys grandmothers are sisters.

Non of them are Romany/Roma. The Roma are Asian.

Your entitled to your opinion no doubt but to just say he would bulldoze Hyland is a bit off the mark imo I hope the fight comes off it would be a good clash of styles.

Voronin is well past his best. He would have been Euro Level(ish) when he fought Dunne. He's now considered a journeyman (He's 38 now).

Nobody would know how good Carl is with dealing with that type of fighter until it happens. Carl needs to fight all different type of fighters for him to get to the top so a fight against awkward boxers is good to see how he goes about getting the job done.
A fight with Paul if it did happen Paul will try and keep him at bay with his boxing skills for as long as possible. Carl needs to fight these type of fighters and get as much experience from them. Yes Carl should get the better of Paul and maybe finish him but it would be a good workout for him to have. Look at other options there for a fight for him there wouldnt be a lot out there at short notice for Carl. Cant see any of the other fighters at Super Bamtamweight division in the UK coming over at short notice or there promotors wanting to risk them.
