The interview took place before the Game Four of the NBA Finals at Staples Center in Los Angeles and De La Hoya, who heads Golden Boy Promotions (GBP), added that “we’re very close in finalizing the contracts that were once very complicated.”

Since there is no other fight to make but pit Pacquiao and Mayweather together, De La Hoya said “the two fighters now realize that this fight must be made.”

“It has to be made because the boxing fans want to see it happen and right now it’s the biggest fight that can be made in the world,” said De La Hoya, who lost to Mayweather by decision in 2007 and to Pacquiao when he quit on his stool in 2008.

The past several weeks, the camps of Pacquiao and Mayweather have been mum about the status of talks regarding the fight.

The issue of random drug-testing and purse split are the talking points in the negotiations.

and here is from HBO's Ross Greenburg, a neutral source and the middleman in the negotiations

    man...

SO YOUR TELLING ME THAT YOU NEVER HEARD FLOYD SAY "UP UNTIL THE DAY OF THE TESTS"??

THAT IS MY SOURCE MAN...EVERYONE KNOWS FLOYD WILL NOT FIGHT ANYONE THESE DAYS WITHOUT THOSE TESTS..

YOU SHOULD KNOW AS YOUR ON HERE EVERY DAY BITCHING ABOUT HIM ASKING FOR IT...

SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION PUGI (AND OWN YOU YET AGAIN!!) MY SOURCE IS THE COMMON KNOWLEDGE MIXED WITH THE MANY STATEMENTS FLOYD HAS GIVEN THAT HE WILL NOT FIGHT W/OUT THE TESTS.

i'm asking you for floyd's statements after the negotiations where he said that it was because of the drug testing issue why he suddenly lost his "urge to fight".

    so where is it?

and here is what you've said:

i just like the way how they react when being presented by facts and valid sources and the way they would tend to make BS facts in reply. :yep

I like Pac, not a fan of Floyd although he's an ATG without question. They are both at fault, Pac needs to be more outspoken about what goes on in his career. Honestly just say "I'll be the better man and take the test". If the doctors can assure him he'll be fine and not drained then he's just being ignorant. I understand not wanting to bow to Floyd, but after such a long time, come on, this fight is huge, just be the better man.

I like how the biggest fact of them all is that Manny never agreed to the test up to the day of the fight from his adviser Koncz means the fight was never close. This can not be refuted

i like the way that you are clinging on to koncz when it suits you but i like it more when i'm asking you all for some source where floyd explained his reason why he took a vacation? do you have it?

and i like it more when you guys would rather believe in ellerbe and schaefer than greenburg.
