What do boxers have to do these days to please the hyper critical tossers..

  1. Early opposition for a prospect has also got to be competitive and be about confidence building. Wazza should take most of the flack for opposition. There isn't a great deal to grumble about in all fairness though. And he is starting to justify his prospect tag now anyway

Even a journeyman who falls over in the first round should be commended. Even that is a hard job.

When people say 'Khan will never be a top of the p4p rankings' then that in itself is a complement to Khan. For them to even consider it and post such a comment shows how far he has come as a boxer. People just like being critical. If, for example, he did become p4p no.1 then those people will say 'yeah but he's not as good as Sugar Ray Leonard etc etc'. **** off and respect the man and the sport.

  4. ESPECIALLY the journeymen mate. Lots of them end up penniless, alone and in need of care. They take the shitty end of the stick.

The sport is **** nowadays IN TERMS OF DEPTH. At the end of the day, the SRL comment would only be in response to those that over egg someones achievements, in which case, yes, the counter argument should be brought up IMO.

At the end of the day, the reverse is also true. For example, when I dispute that Khan has 'great boxing skills' I am called a hater!

  6. Agree about the srl comment. If someone was able to put up a believable argument in terms of style differences and not be a sneering **** about it I'd accept the argument if it made. It's about respect and talking without agenda

Having been hit in the face with sparring gloves/headgear, even getting in the ring should be applauded.....unless we're talking about Zelenoff ;-)

I don’t dislike Khan, especially. He’s a disaster technically, but he makes for fun fights and I like that he’s fighting solid opposition. He doesn’t do himself any favours with the team that surrounds him, or his bizarre tweets.

  9. It's not hating with a valid argument which I'm sure you could produce great flea!

Thanks. Sadly, most think I'm a troll :D

  11. But his team and tweets shouldn't affect our perception him in the ring. I think technically he is much more sound than he used to be, but he uses his attributes well. Plus every now and then he has a "**** it" attitude and puts his head down and fights. I respect that

I respect him as well, but doesn't mean he should be safe from criticism on a forum :good

I'm very much of the 'judge him what he does in the ring', which is why I hate it when I'm labelled a 'hater' for not rating the likes of Floyd, Khan and Valero as high as others. Naz is a good example; he was a quality fighter, despite being an absolute **** out of the ring.

I hate Ray Leonard; but I can't deny his achievements/ability because of that :good

  13. You know who I am don't ya? I'd never think that!

Probably some of that is also due to people reading posts the wrong way, most people seem to take critical posts as extreme critical comments. When you post a critical Khan observation they probably think you have Khans head on a dart board at home yet if you said that to them in the boozer then they'd happily have a discussion on it.
    Others are also nobheads.

I could say that for a world champion, Froch's defence is pretty ****ing poor but I'm sure people would then think I'm a Ward fan.

All I can say is that if you disagree with me, sue me.
