Definitely deserves a rematch. Was shaping as a really good fight.

Two things pittman needs to work on in my opinion ( for what its worth lol)-

Dont trade as much with yannick, or if he wants to get his shots off, he needs to keep it long.

He's got to move his head more. He gets cute turning his shoulder ( all good) but he still leaves his chin up and his head still....so its not really working right. Needs to tuck it in behind his shoulder. He naturally fights tall but he cant leave his head as a target like he does.

Good advise, and all things Pittman should know. But is perhaps forgetting in the heat of battle.

Yeah, i didnt expect him to stand and trade like he did with yannick. Maybe he wanted to make a statement early??....i think he's better when he fights more measured.

The occassion might have pumped him up too much and he lost his head a little, i dunno.....

Got to the pub a bit later than i wanted to but the fight was already over - i thought Yannick v Pittman would fight just before the main event..

You can't judge a 12 round fight by the first round or two. Yannick was just idling. We knew Jamie would come out guns blazing. That's the style he's brought over from his amature days. Rounds 4 to 8 would of been interesting. Pittman was our mandatory fight and now we could offer him a voluntary shot if the deal is right.

By the way I congratulate everyone associated with Grange boxing. The most professional team I've ever dealt with.

I'm glad it's not just me who thought this...

I didn't see any fight out of Jamie to dispute the cut, no protest whatsoever.

I could be wrong and may be mis-judging but I just didn't see that extra something that said he wanted to continue. Actually at the time, I was on the phone to a mate and he said the same thing that we both felt he didn't want it continue?

He then proceeded to walk around like he was upset but at the time when he could of made noise for the fight to continue, he appeared to say nothing.

Again I could be wrong, but as a world stage contender, it ain't gonna happen for him. He had his shot vs. Sturm and I think that's it for him...

Fair call Charlie. Hope the deal gets done. A rematch would seem appropriate.

It does seem appropriate and from what I read and hear it's what the fans want to see so we need to take it under consideration. The thing is that Pittman hadn't fought since January and the cut opened up quite easily. Who's to say it wouldn't happen again? I know where Serge will be aiming that overhand right should they meet again.

Pittman as i said before didnt seem to care that the fight was stopped.
Didnt show 1 bit of frustration or attempt to let the fight continue & tell the ref that he was ok.
Strange to see & if his heart is not in it, why bother continuing to be a professional boxer.

Maybe he could cash himself out for 20-25k in Europe or the US.

    You agree hey Kegs?

He just didn't seem to want it at all, no protesting, no questioning the doc whatsoever.

With his record, if he could put 2-3 on end, he could have got himself into the frame against someone like Bute and got a payday (not that he could be Bute!). I mean Bute was looking at Les Sherrington at one stage, so with Jamie's record, again, if he could string 2-3 wins ongoing, he's there to get paid.
