Fighters who received many gift decisions

    Just thinking about Michael Brodie vs Willie Jorrin fight for WBC Featherweight title. The night Michael Brodie was horribly robbed of his crowning glory.

    Jorrin went on to fight Oscar Larios and got another gift IMO. You needed to knock him out to win sorta fighter and even then i'm sure the ref would of dragged him up if he could.

    Anyways was wondering what fighters you feel were subject to many gift decisions from judges??. I'm talking about a fighter who received more then one in his career.

    Ottke only got a couple. It's just popular to say he got a gift everytime.

    Ottke more repeatedly won close decisions, with a couple of gifts thrown in inbetween. But it's a bit much when the close decisions go your way everytime when there's quite a lot of them.

    Oh and James Toney.

    Anyone care to list gift Ottke decisions...... I thought he beat Johnson, Brewer at least once - the Reid fight could have gone either way.

    Robin kinda gave up after realising he'd be thrown out for landing too many legal shots.

    Alexander has two - Matthysse and Kotelnik.

    The only one Williams has is Lara - Martinez I was close.

    On a flip side..... Glen Johnson beat Woods three times, Dawson the first time and Sheika too.

    Mads larsen beat him too.

    When you look at the Reid fight you have to score reids knockdown of Ottke as well. Just coz the ref was wank doesn't mean you have to be when you score it.

    I agree Reid gave up towards the end and stopped jabbing but it's still a clear win for me and I certainly don't think it could have gone either way.

    Even if you let Tilermans dodgy reffing stand I think its fairly clear win for Reid.

    The first Brewer fight is a fairly clear loss for Ottke as well from memory.

    If you did it the other way round with a fighter who was always on the wrong end of them I would put Big John McDermott right up there!!!
