John Simpson has never been looked upon fondly by the judges either.

:nono, twice. Woods won that last one and I'm fairly sure that's the majority consensus on the outcome of that fight (at least polls on this site and others suggested at the time).

As for judges not liking John McDermott, maybe they don't, but Jim Watt sure does. Jim will give him rounds for lazily missing with the jab, doing **** all else and then getting caught with some decent shots, he really does have a man crush on him.

Fights like the first Watson were made more of a fuss of by the media. Have never really bothered to score it myself though. On balance he probably did have a few but his fights were often tough to score due to his style.

Yeah, Simpson has only really lost a couple.

The fight with Steve Foster and also the Smith return. He beat Smith the first time, Mathews and Williams pretty clearly for me.

The fight with Appleby was close, strange when you think what John would have done to Laryea.

Ian Napa rarely got the nod in close fights. Think it only happened the night he won the European, and I was gobsmacked.

Napa vs McDonnell was a joke decision IMO. Kid was missing for fun yet somehow won. I had Napa up by more then a few.

People moan about Sven Ottke! And allot of fuss was made about the Robin Reid vs Sven Ottke fight.

But in my opinion, Robin Reid did'nt really deserve to win that fight. In the later rounds he threw away the fight, was too one demensional and his workrate was not good enough.

Also, i think Ringside afew British pundits where not so confidant in Reid winning.

Its Robin Rieds fault why he lost that fight!!

Sven Okkte stepped up is game in the later rounds, and fought like a champion.

Thats tripe. Yeah Reid to an extent did give up but without the riddiculous ref and bent judges he would have had an unasailable lead.
