while i do think that parents have a lot ( and i mean much) of influence on their kids, once your adult ass reaches legal age (i.e.maturity) there is no ****in way are you putting blame on your parents for whatever mess you are into.

His father is not to blame directly or entirely...

But if you think his father doesn't deserve some blame for not teaching his son a better sense of responsibility and consequences, at a young age, then what is even the purpose of parenting, outside of food, clothing and shelter?

****ing hell, didn't realize things were THAT bad between those 2. It's kinda sad, considering if what they're saying about Mayweather Sr. is true (i.e. he's dying), then it'll be regrettable for both of 'em if they don't make peace before that happens. At least Roger wasn't getting involved, and just tried to calm Floyd down.

I believe it was. I don't know if it would be HBO or Floyd's idea, but Floyd isn't as dumb as everybody thinks. They know controversy sells, that's why they ended the episode with that insted of the trypical epic music with slow motion gym work. The thing that gave it away was as soon as Roger pulled him away Floyd started right away with the Sept 17 talk plugging the fight. The thing you have to remember this is a tv show and all they're trying to do is get is get ratings. The last thing I want to touch on was everybody saying why would Floyd sr. agree to fight on tv. Look the man has done time for slanging drugs so it means 1. He dosen't give a ****. and 2. He knows the power of a dollar and I'm sure hes getting a few for that little fight. Just my opinion

I don't think anyone really feels Floyd is a complete idiot...just becuase he does idiotic things. Floyd is just under a lot of pressure that he's created for himself...people make mistakes under that kind of pressure...DUMB mistakes.

But if you REALLY think it was staged I must say It's a little concerning... Floyd didn't need to make himself and his father look like complete ship wrecks to sell "Controversy". Floyd embarrassed himself and his family which falls right in line with Sr and Roger's history.

Just b/c Floyd plugged the fight in front of cameras doesn't help your stance kid. If anything it just gives insight to how Floyd is. He can fly off the handle and completely disrespect his father in front of everyone in his gym and 24/7 cameras..and not bat an eye lash as he goes on, business as usual promoting "HIS" fight, in "HIS" gym that he paid for where evidently his father is no longer welcome.

I hear you, but this is his 4th 24/7. If he came at the show like he has done the last few times he been on not too many people are watching. Floyd doing the same things over and over. I think the idea of the argument was there but it wasn't planned out and got way out of hand. I think it was just two egos clashing and neither wanted to come off soft so they just kept escalating it. I totally get your point of view and your right it could have completely been on the spot. But the only thing that keeps coming up when I think about it is that it's tv. They knew if they had something like that happen it would make everybody do exactly what were doing right now
