Why does Kevin Mitchell think he can beat Katsidis this time?

Rios was lining up Barerra don't forget, that's a pretty shocking opponent if you ask me. A Murray choice is just an easy defence if u ask me. Would Frank turn cash in on John after 1 loss? Maybe he realises Murray isn't world class, and he is looking to get 1 big pay day out of him before he is completely found out.

It seems strange how Murray's name is even being mentioned if there's no truth in it. He wouldn't be the first on anyone's rumour mill coming off a defeat.

 

His problems in the run up to Kats was well documented after the fight. With a clear head, he must feel he'll be able to outbox him. I must say, if he is right he'll certainly last longer than the third. Also, Kats has taken a sustained beating from JMM and Guerrero since. Who knows how much these fights have taken out of him

 

from all the shite that was going on in the internet, about him not training, out drinking , drugs and partying, i thought he was a lost cause, but that was a fantastic win over murray, i thought murray would win quite easily,

so i think he will beat katsidis this time, and maybe stop him, in 10,

i doubt that, even at this stage of his career i could see barrera stopping murray, what would murray bring, the same come forward style berraras seen since he was a 14 years old

 

A name, yes. But he doesn't being anything to the table these days. No-one would pay for a PPV involving him these days, and certainly none of his fans would want to see him in with Rios. Barerra is just a bad a pick as Murray IMO, if not worse due to the fact Rios would be beating the **** out of a shot legend, rather than a limited European level fighter.

 

Maybe Katidis has slipped enough or Mitchell improved enough since last time for him to get the win?

That's beside the point. Barrera's a bigger name, and that's all that matters.

the fact that this is even being talked about is everything that is wrong with boxing as a sport.

 

Rios isn't a PPV fighter to begin with, so Barrera no longer being able to generate PPVs, doesn't really matter. He is still a name, and amongst Mexicans, which is what Rios is, he'll drum up a lot of interest. Even though he is a shot legend and beating him may be seen as bad, the people will still flock to see it. They hype machine will it so.

Fighting an easy, meaningless fight against the one that'll generate more interest (money), is the more attractive option.
