I know very little about Zaveck but I have done a little home work he is a decent inside fighter, in his last five he stopped I think four people. Berto, who is comming off a major loss and likely a mental let down losing to a guy known world wide as a quitter, with Questionable heart, that guy beat Andre, and not just beat him but rocked him battered him came up off the canvas twice to continue to beat him, Honestly Berto was embarressed that night, and you have to wonder how is he mentally going to over come that? Especially when his mentality was shot in the first place, since Collazo its been gone, I think Andre knows that Luis beat him and he for sure with out question knows he got his ass whipped from Ortiz.... To me thats too much to over come he should have taken a lesser opponent to recover and regain some confidence but he again is going straight back into the lions den. He will not get the results he is looking for in this fight IMO, I like Zaveck by stoppage in this fight.
Yes and no. I've seen maybe 4 or 5 of Zaveck's fights and I think he's a quality fighter who's capable of pulling off the upset. Thing is, I'm not so sure he'll get a fair shake if the fight goes to the cards. In my opinion, Zaveck's best chance is to catch Berto early when he is at his most vulnerable. Berto has been stunned, hurt, or either dropped, in the first two rounds by David Estrada, Luis Collazo, Carlos Quintana, and Victor Ortiz. It's going to be hard for Zaveck to earn a decision in America without a few dramatic moments. So Zaveck's best shot is to catch Berto cold early and knock him out, or score a couple of knockdowns to give himself more of a fighting chance on the cards, if the bout goes to a decision.
I´d rather compare it to Alexander vs Kotelnik.. its also how I see the fight going.. Berto stays away hitting Zavecks gloves, Zaveck lands cleaner but Berto wins by UD
Zaveck has great stamina if nothing else. 2 of his last 5 fights have been knockouts in the 12th rounds. And yeah, it is going to be hard to get a decision in America. We've seen a lot of American prospects get their **** pushed in by foreign fighters lately. Many have gotten the shaft. Alexander vs Kotelnyk and Matthysse come to mind. Then again, some foreign fighters have upset the apple cart lately, but had to win by stoppage to cement it. Maidana/Ortiz springs to mind immediately. Food for thought again - Zaveck went to South Africa recently and pushed in hometown fighter Isaac Hlatshwayo's ****. Zaveck has mostly fought on his own soil, but has shown he has no issue taking and succeeding in fights in other fighters backyards. Issac was also the benefactor of many shitty decisions. Two gifts against Delvin Rodriguez, one in South America. Zaveck seemed to know he needed to make a statement, and he knocked out Issac in three.
Could Zaveck win? Sure. Is he going to dominate for 12 rounds like Calzaghe did to Lacy? Hell no. He's just not that talented.
Zaveck much more smart than Welsh sheep-sexer! But, Mr. Russell, I do have vision of American and Hatian ENTRAPMENT here! LOL! They will see...One man come by plane, but leave by jet. :hey
I find it funny how you adopt a new gimmick on a weekly basis that grows stale fast everytime :tired Kind of funny still though. :dead
Cant be having a bloke who lost to Rafa Jaca sorry, as much as Berto is overated. Zaveck is no better than euro level. Easy win for Berto
